Totally secluded Bohemian villa, great seaview

Quinta do Vale das Donzelas (Valley of the Maidens) / Nordstjärnan (Northern Star) is a totally secluded bohemian villa with uninterrupted views over the Atlantic Ocean, from Praia das Maçãs to Peniche, the valley of Colares and the Estremadura plain to Mafra Convent. The house, surrounded by a garden and wood forest, is set within a 10.000 square metre plot of land. Nature lovers can enjoy long walks in the wild garden, pick fresh fruit from the trees and meet the resident eagles and owl, or simply contemplate the ocean, the sunset or the stars from the terraces. The neighbours provide home-grown biological vegetables. Vegetarian food is available in Almoçageme, 2 km from the villa, where a traditional market is held on Saturdays and Sundays. Adraga beach, only two kilometres away, was ranked as one of the ’20 perfect European beaches’ by the Sunday Times in 2003.

Notes to the rental rates

  • (1) A non-refundable deposit of € 250 per week is required to confirm the booking. The balance to be paid at least 30 days before occupation. Confirmation of reservation will be made in writing on receipt and clearance of the deposit. Should the booking be done on a shorter notice, the full payment is required to confirm the booking.
    (2) A complete inventory of the villa equipment will be sent beforehand. Tenants will have the opportunity to notify the owner upon arrival about any equipment failure.
    (3) An extra security deposit of total amount € 200 is required to ensure the villa and equipment normal maintenance by the tenants. Should no damage be observed, it will fully transferred back at the latest one month after rental conclusion.
  • (4) Changeover usually takes place on Saturdays at midday.
    (5) In July and August, priority will be given to guests reserving the villa for a minimum period of 2 weeks.

The multi-levellled villa is NOT SUITABLE for young babies: no railing on the inside and outside stairs. Extra storage room suitable for bikes, surf boards and golf clubs. Several terraces (east, north, west), 8 garden chairs, 7 garden tables. Parking inside property for one compact car and outside up to 3 vehicles. The villa is heated in winter and upon request (radial heating in the floor, radiator in the kitchen). Logs are provided for the fireplace, which also warms up the main bedroom on the first floor. A sunny and flowered terrace offers you a spectacular sea view. The interior is spacious, comfortable, and furnished in good taste. The garden, with its overgrown vegetation, is a real harvest of peace and fragrances. Nothing better to recharge the batteries and to rest. The place is both secluded and within a short distance of the sea (10 minutes only). In 45 minutes you can be in Lisbon. We will certainly come back with pleasure every year.
