This house is a rustic conversion with a large private garden in a pretty, typical Portuguese village. The garden contains a 7-metre pool, enclosed in its own cobbled area, making it suitable for families with young children. Azoia is ideally situated on the coast road between Cascais and Sintra.

  • Change over day is Saturday. Special rates for additional nights will be charged - if available. Weekend breaks and midweek breaks may be available off peak. Prices on request.

    Prices include all charges such as electricity, water and weekly cleaning, change of linen and towels.
  • Bookings are only accepted after receipt of 30% of the rental. Balance to be paid on arrival or by bank transfer before.
  • Easter, Christmas and New Year weeks are charged €1000. Discounts can be arranged for monthly stays from october until march.

Azoia: The village still maintains a traditional Portuguese feel, but now contains 4 restaurants, a bar in a converted windmill with a stunning view along the coast, a café, an artists studio and a tennis court for hire. There's a grocery store, daily vegetable market, and fresh bread rolls to be had from the delivery van each morning.

General Area: Azoia is situated about 1.5 Km from Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point of mainland europe, and in the pine-clad foothills of the Serra da Sintra making it ideal walking territory. There is a beautiful secluded beach a scramble from the road to Cabo da Roca and many other more accessible beaches a short drive away.

Sporting facilities: There are excellent golf courses close by. Guincho, one of the most famous wind-surfing beaches in Europe is 15 minutes away. Bikes can be hired in Colares or Cascais.

The five of us arrived late on the Thursday evening in October, dropped off our belongings and went in search of food. We ate at Refugio's and the food was excellent.
We then went back to the cottage to explore and claim our rooms! It was lovely. The next day the sun was shining and we sat around the pool, which was heaven. We laughed at the constant dog barking that went around the village. Set one off and they all join in, but it did not spoil our enjoyment one bit.
During our stay we had all weather, fog, rain, sun, wind, but it was October so were not surprised. It was weird being above the cloud some days, and in it on others!
3 of us went to the MotoGP at Estoril on the Sunday which is always a good day out.
We tried 3 of the restaurants in the village and enjoyed them all. We intended to cook more but only managed it 3 times.
All in all it was a lovely holiday, much needed and it got the family together for the first time in years. Highly recommend the cottage and I have only rated the holiday as 'Good' due to the changable weather, otherwise Excellent.

Our group of 7 had a great stay at this property. The house was clean and well maintained, and the private pool area was fantastic for summer days.
The village was cute with friendly locals, we visited the windmall bar on the cliff with great views, and had a fantastic meal at Refugio's which only 2 minutes walk from the house.
We also explored the wine region of Azeitao from here which was an hours drive away with lots of famous vineyards.
The owner was responsive, and provided lots of great information on the house, village and surrounding areas which was very useful.
I would definitely recommend staying here!

A lovely and comfortable home. Perfect for us and my kids loved the pool. The owner was prompt and always polite with any questions.
