    Monday-Monday bookings normally accepted but please ask if you wish other arrival/departure days. Rates Include cleaning, bedlinen, full range of towels, the use of a sofa bed in the TV room and/or a cot & baby chair if required.
    EXTRA CHARGE applies and is recommended for additional heating to ensure the water temperature of the outdoor pool is maintained at 22ºC in the cooler months. This costs €100 per week from Oct - March and €75 per week for Apr, May and Sept. No pool heating required during June, July or Aug. The outdoor pool heating needs to be pre-booked and it payable locally.

Notes: A private elevator and a staircase give access from street level and the garage. The comfortable lounge chairs include an electrically operated armchair which assists those with limited mobility. The living room contains a Plasma screen + DVD player, broadband internet access and quality sofa bed. The TV room contains a TV and DVD/video player. The lounge dining table seats 4 with another table in the main hall that seats 6-8 + a piano. Two outside teak tables each seat 6. The kitchen has crockery, cutlery and glassware for 10 settings including egg cups and mugs, good quality cooking utensils and an electric kettle, coffee maker, toaster, orange juicer and food mixer. The inside and outside pools are heated to a minimum temp of 24ºC and 20º C respectively. My family of 7 (my husband and I plus our 5 young adult children/spouses) stayed here in early January 2008, and it was unbelievable. It was booked for the amazing fireworks on New Years Eve, so we stayed somewhere else until we could check in here. The villa and the harbour view are amazing! We were all so impressed. My husband commented after checking in that he would "be happy staying right here (on the deck of the pool) the rest of the trip!" The only negative is that there is not much within short walking distance, so we had to taxi to town for dinner or shopping. We did have a driver to take us around the sights of the whole island, which I highly recommend. Our agent was Claire..and she was so helpful before and during our trip!

It would be hard to improve on this villa

A magnificent property in every way, with wondrous views. Elegant, well designed and exceptionally appointed, it even has two swimming pools, one of them an infinity pool high above the amphitheatre of Funchal. There is also a separate parking space in downtown Funchal for the use of guests. Not to mention modern appliances, a lift, broadband, a barbecue...... Its location is also good for handy access to the rapido (once you master the road junction) and is well placed for a useful shopping centre about a mile away.

We were so taken with the property, we booked it for the folowing year before we had flown home. It is probably one of the five best rental properties on the island.
