The surrounding area:
Obidos and Peniche are the two nearest towns. Obidos dating from 300 BC is a medieval walled town with narrow streets and bougainvillea covered houses leading to the castle at the top of the hill. Peniche is a working fishing port where day trips to the Berlengas islands (a national park) can be taken in summer (May to Sept). A castle, museum and excellent seafood restaurants complete the mix. Other interesting towns are Bombarral (wine), Caldas da Rainha and Foz de Arrelho. Further afield are the religious shrine at Fatima, historic Coimbra, Sintra and of course Lisbon. Lisbon is only 1 hour away and has all the museums, shopping and nightlife you would expect of a thriving capital city.

The par 72 part links part parkland style course is a good test for both the high handicapped golfer as well as the more advanced player. Very well equipped clubhouse with excellent practice facilities including a short game practice area. The apartment overlooks the first fairway and is adjacent to the practice ground. Very good English speaking professionals. Buggies, trolleys and clubs are all available to rent. You will need an official handicap. The Resort is also within a reasonable driving distance of several other challenging golf courses within the region.
