This city centre modern apartment is set in a recently rebuild building in old historic Lisbon. This bright, daylight filled, 3rd floor apartment is located in Luis de Camões Square, one of the most important squares dedicated to the Portuguese Prince of the poetry, with the statue in the centre which was erected in 1867, has a privilege situation in the heart of the cultural and historical part of the city (Bairro Alto and Chiado), very close to several museums, operas, theatres and churches. Located in front of the luxurious 5 stars Bairro Alto Hotel. Accommodation comprises one bedroom with a double bed, living room with dining and sitting areas, full bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has air-conditioning and central heating in all the rooms. This privileged location offers easy access by foot to the subway (Chiado/Baixa station – 50 m). We will welcome you with a nice bottle of wine, coffee and tea ready for you and some biscuits.

Apartment located at the heart of historical Lisbon, in the Luis de Camões Square, between Bairro Alto and Chiado. A 5 minute walk takes you to the Rossio, in the Baixa, and to the Elevador da Lavra. On the other direction you will reach the Praça do Comércio, where has located the centre of the Portuguese old empire near the river Tejo (Tagus). To go to Sintra or to Óbidos you must catch the train at Entre-Campos train station, which is just a short subway trip from Chiado. Close to shops, restaurants, cafes, banks, cash machine, public transportation (subway and electric trams) and 24 hour taxi stands, etc.

  • The rates above are for groups up to 2 persons. Price increases 10 euros for each additional person (applicable to children older then 8 years old). When staying longer than 7 days a 10% reduction will be applied, 20% when longer than a month.
  • A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the reservation. Balance of 70% required to be paid on arrival with the delivery of the keys. Check in after 2:00 pm and check out before 11:00 am. Other arrangements possible if no other guests are coming in / going out the same day. Extra housekeeping can be arranged.

Lisbon: Bears the mark of an incredible heritage with laid-back pride. The city also presents an intriguing variety of faces to those who negotiate its switchback streets. In the oldest neighbourhoods, stepped alleys are lined with pastel-colour houses and crossed by laundry hung out to dry; here and there miradouros (vantage points) afford spectacular river or city views. In the grand 18th-century centre, black-and-white mosaic cobblestone sidewalks border wide boulevards. Elétricos (trams) clank through the streets, and blue-and-white azulejos (painted and glazed ceramic tiles) adorn churches, restaurants, and fountains.

Chiado and Bairro Alto: Chiado is considered the most beautiful area of historical Lisbon. It was a place of residence of the Portuguese royalty and of the political and cultural elites. Nearby are located the theatre S. Luis and the opera D. Carlos. A little further up on the left is Camões Square (Praça de Camões), next to Bairro Alto, picturesque but raffish; part of Lisbon's nightlife seems to be concentrated in this quarter, which was frequented to hear the sentimental 'fados' sung in certain restaurants and cafés. Chiado and Bairro Alto are “the” meeting point for locals and tourists, with elegant hotels, old cafés and the best international fashion shops nearby.

Very central location; good for public transport; very nice cafes and restaurants nearby; at weekend sometimes a bit noisy on the square; service from "TravelingToLisbon" very good; flat ist very clean; well furnished and equipped. Flat is highly recommendable.

How pleased we were to stay in this flat! The famous tram No. 28 stops almost at the door. Many shops are in the neighborhood.

The flat is large, very well-furnished, attractive, clean, and exactly as advertised. We could not have been more comfortable.

The check-in process was easy and very informative - done by an agent who spoke perfect English.

The owner was extremely helpful throughout the reservation process.

I can think of nothing negative about the flat or the reservation process.

We have rented many flats in Europe, and I can only wish that the others were of this quality and lived up to their enthusiastic descriptions as well as this one.

Spacious, attractive and great location

We found the place spacious, well located to walk or ride anywhere, clean and well equipped mostly. The two concerns were the bed is rather tiny for such a big place and we are not really large people. There was not even soap so we had to go straight to shop for it. The kitchen was stocked well but if you are not used to European appliances the washer/dryer is a challenge. We think Traveling to Lisbon could have given us better information. The women who let us in told us the dryer was a rack and the machine did not include it. THat is not so; the washer dryer is one machine and complicated.
Otherwise we highly recommend it.

We hate the arrival moment when you are not quite sure what the accommodation will be like - no matter how much detail you research beforehand. This apartment met all our expectations and MORE! The apartment was so clean, so well equipped, comfortable, had a lovely entrance, fabulous and interesting views, and I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone. Its location was also perfect with easy access to public transport, shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. It made our visit to the fabulous city of Lisbon one to remember! Thank you Paulo.

We spent 3 months in Europe in fall 2007 and stayed in apartments in six countries. This was a favorite - bright, airy, well appointed, in a great location, wonderful city. We would recommend it to anyone.
