Apartment Nr. 1 is located on the 3rd floor of a typical XIX century building constructed against a XV century fortress wall in the Pena district.

Apartment Nr. 55 is on the 4th floor of the same building.

Apartment 55 is on the 4th floor of the same building It has an abundance of natural light, and from the window you have an amazing direct view of the castle and its beautiful surrounding. It is 80m2 and has been completely renovated and remodeled to include: one bedroom with double bed; one living room with a sofa bed, dining area, satellite TV, DvD player and a hi-fi stereo; a mezzanine with a single bed (not very comfortable : a mattress on the floor, low ceiling, light in the morning and low intimacy because it is on top of the living room) ; a kitchen complete with washing machine, gas oven and stove, microwave and fridge with frozen compartment; This communicates with the sitting room; a bathroom with an ancient renewed bathtub; one terrace, built within on the old fortress wall, with an amazing view over the castle S. Jorge, Lisbon's roofs and the river Tejo, where you can sit and relax;

The apartment is at a charming narrow street in the district of Pena. The main feature of Pena is that it is a plateau, from which two main slopes descend, facing Martin Moniz and Avenida da Liberdade. It begins At the north-east of Rossio and extends to Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, commonly known by 'Campo de Santana'. The streets on the two slopes are twisting and irregular which has led to many beautiful alleys and side streets.

Being one of the oldest districts in Lisbon, one is overwhelmed by the diversity of its buildings, constructed in accordance with the successive types of architecture through centuries. Wrought iron balconies from the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries can be seen everywhere. In constant dialogue with the wrought iron are the glazed tiles of the façades - a style reportedly brought from Brazil after the 16th century.

Lovely place

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. The view from the balcony was nice as well. We brought our 8 month old baby along and a travel cot was provided. Nice touch. The only issue was the fact that there is no elevator and the climb up to the top floor is pretty steep and with a pram etc. this was a bit tricky but worth it all the same. Location was central but very quiet at night. We thought it was good value for money and overall a very positive experience. Great service provided by Travelling to Lisbon as well.

a great central location

ome confusion over the extra fee for sunday check in was apparent, but easily solved, as was the lack of bedding for more than the minimum two people.

The stairs to the building and the apartment would be a nightmare for parents with young children, or older travelers.

The steep, unguarded drop (three floors) from the very narrow roof terrace either side would make it an impossible location for families with younger children or active older ones. Our teenage girls were fine with it, though.

Nice living area in the appartment, and a fun mezzanine sleeping space for children (but again, with a big drop to the floor).

Central location was great.

The Location was superbe the only thing was that the terrace has no Furniture like see on the Picture.

Great city-lovely apartment-fantastic service

Our stay in Lisbon was short but very sweet! We loved the city and really enjoyed staying in apartment 55. Very convenient location, fabulous views, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We would definitelly come back and would strongly recomend it to others. Also was a pleasure dealing with Traveling to Lisbon. From the email correspondance before we arrived, to our reception by the rep, Jorge and untill we left Lisbon, the agency was honest and really helpfull. Will most deffinitelly book through them again on our next visit to Lisbon. Many Thanks for making our short visit very uncomplicated and enjoyable! Christina and Liam

L'appartamento é in ottima posizione, luminoso e spazioso.
L,unica pecca é che sta situato al 4 piano senza ascensore e il divano letto é molto scomodo. Bagno non eccezionale.
Adatto a tutti che non abbiano problemi di scale.
Nel complesso piacevole.
Silenzioso, gli unici rumori sono i cani del vicino che iniziano ad abbaiare appena qualcuno esce sul terrazzo, ma smettono appena uno rientra in casa.
La notte sta tranquilla.
