Casa Bianca is an attractive, privately owned villa with swimming pool on the edge of the pretty village of A-Dos Francos on Portugal's unspoilt Silver Coast; about a 45 minute drive north of Lisbon, 25 minutes from vibrant Peniche and just 15 minutes from the Golden Eagle Golf Course. The villa is set on the slope of the hill, has its own private swimming pool set in landscaped gardens, and is surrounded by olive trees and overlooking the rambling vineyards and fruit orchards adjacent to the village. The peace and tranquility of the setting make this location the perfect family getaway with plenty of room and all the privacy you will need for a truly relaxing and memorable holiday. The house has no immediate neighbours and so affords perfect security and privacy with no disturbance at all. The South-East-facing wrap around balcony provides the most beautiful views and is an absolute delight for early risers who wish to catch the sunrise! The terrace is bathed in sunshine till late.

Casa Bianca is located 55 mins north of Lisbon Airport & 3 miles from the motorway A15 (Caldas da Rainha - Santarem). The house is on the edge of the village of A dos Francos & is within easy reach of major attractions, surf camps, supermarkets, Golf resorts & golden sandy beaches. There are a number of open air markets selling a range of goods including fresh produce at really amazing prices. Caldas da Rainha, Foz de Arelho and Obidos which are approximately 10 - 12 miles away by car have a selection of DIY stores, excellent restaurants with international cuisine. In the immediate vicinity of the villa, you can also find a few good restaurants who specialise in Portuguese fare but most especially in seafood dishes. There is a bank, three cafe-bars, a mini market and a few other shops just 300 metres away from the house. The nearest beaches at Foz are spectacular and have all the facilities you would expect to find at a top location by the sea.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Rates include cleaning and laundry before and after visit. If additional maid services are required during your stay, this can be arranged at an additional cost. Electricity and water are included in the rates. During the winter months, or cold spells during the other seasons, a central heating surcharge will apply. Please clarify the details with the owners. A fully refundable security deposit of €300.00 will apply to all bookings unless otherwise arranged with the owners. This amount is payable 4 -6 weeks prior to arrival at the villa. The deposit will be refunded within 7 working days after leaving the villa.
    Booking minimum: 5 nights Payment by bank transfer: 30% deposit on confirmation of booking. Balance 70% is usually payable 60 days before arrival or as arranged with the owner. Rental charges during the Christmas / New Year and Easter break will be at peak rates. All other bank holidays, including the busy half-term school breaks will be charged at the normal advertised tariff
  • The caretaker will be on hand to ensure that everything goes smoothly on your holiday. They will make sure that everything is to your satisfaction in the villa. They will also be able to advise you on local restaurants, shopping and places to visit, as well as being available for any 'emergencies' that may arise. You will be glad to know that just 300 metres down the road is a string of shops, including a small café, bank and mini Mercado. There is also a Health Clinic just 200 metres from the villa should you need it. There is a distinctive air of privacy and security about the villa even though it is quite close to all facilities. The villa has no immediate neighbours giving guests the added privacy and the freedom to party on into the wee hours should you wish it.

Notes: There is a well-equipped little gym with treadmill, exercise bike machine and bench-press for more ambitious guests. Adjacent to the gym is the ground floor recreation centre opening onto the front drive. It is equipped with an elegant 7'x4' pool table, large selection of board games, darts board, puzzles, library and children's toys. There is an impressive collection of music in the form of CDs and audio tapes. There is also a new Sony PlayStation 2 with a collection of video games including some of the latest on the market. A refrigerator has been provided for cool drinks and refreshments. Next to the Recreation room there is a small utility room that houses a washing machine, wine cellar and picnic basket, thermos, rugs etc. for use by guests. There is a beautiful card table and four carvers provided to one side. The two large sofas can be used to enjoy some music using the Akai stereo system. Movies can be watched on the 32' TV with cinema surround sound.

Views stunning - food great, really cool place for a bunch of friends. Loved it. Highly recommended for those who want to relax and have a fun time. It is a large house and so peaceful. We took long walks each evening after supper and then enjoyed a few hours sampling fine Alentejo wines on the terrace.

A small paradise!

We stayed at Casa Bianca for one week and the place was unbelievable. House itself, gardens, pool, everything was clean ja well looked after. There was 9 people in our group and still there was enough room for everyone. Children loved the pool, and we adults enjoyd retriet garden and the big terrace. It was nice to meet the owner when we arrived and once again as we left. Thanks Brendon, time in Casa Bianca was perfect. Weather was also great all the time and that also made us very happy!

Great location and very comfortable villa

We stayed at this property for a week at the end of April and had a great time of it. Unfortunately the weather was not kind for most of our visit and this is why I think the house was brilliant. That games room is packed with stuff from videos, music, games, books and a pool table, Play station so we just got on with it and stopped complaining about the weather!
The covered BBQ was also a life saver. If anyone reads this, then I would recommomend you stay here. We will be coming back for a longer stay but I see that this summer is already booked out so we could return here next year.

The perfect villa for us

We visited Portugal and stayed at Casa Bianca in October 2007 for 2 weeks in some brilliant sunny warm weather. The villa was so bright, modern and well decorated with all mod cons you would expect in an expensive hotel. I noticed immediately we had no neighbours so we tended to spend most of our time outdoors in the gardens and by the pool till late each night.
Star for me was the recreation room and by the way, the kids loved the pool table and playstation, huge collection of DVDs etc. Its great that the villa has two lounges and that little gym. The pool and surrounds are so beautiful not to mention ofcourse the huge balcony with those views. Your caretaker Fatima was such a Godsend especially as we arrived after 1.00 am in the dead of night and she was actually waiting for us with the keys when we got there. I would definitely recommend this property for those who like space, comfortand complete privacy. Will be returning here someday soon.

Our recent stay at Casa Bianca

We had a truly wonderful time at the villa in December 2007 so that we have decided to book again for the summer. The decor was amazing and the ambience just right. We have never in all the years of travel (31 years now) ever experienced such a fantastic combination of luxury, excellent service and support from your local staff, high standard of decor, sheer comfort, complete privacy and accessibility to all the amenities. The large room was a complete surprise, most especially for the kids. You have made sure that there is something for everyone here so us older folks were just as comfortable. The fitness studio was a tremendous bonus.
The best feature for us was probably the front sun terrace with those fabulous views of the vineyards, olive trees etc. I look forward to spending a good deal of time enjoying the views when we return in the summer.

I guess none of this would be possible without team effort from the caretaker, gardner and support staff in Portugal. The Silver Coast, as a destination does have a great mix of attractions, golden sandy beaches, superb restaurants, shopping and golf to name just a few things one might do whilst on holiday and Casa Bianca is within easy reach of all of these. What most guest really love about the villa is the complete privacy and security we offer. The other comment we get quite regularly is about the cleanliness, the bright airy rooms and the decor. We take the time to act upon suggestions and comments from our customers and are constantly upgrading and improving facilities.
