Well-appointed, cosy second floor flat. Please note: NO LIFT. The property is literally a few minutes’ walk from the Firth of Clyde, and all the attractions and facilities of Largs itself, making it an excellent base from which to explore the area. It's ideal for twitches, golfers and walkers. There's a good choice of restaurants and pubs, shops and supermarkets, while the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow is just one hour by train from the town. Edinburgh is approximately two hours by train. Strictly no smoking, no pets, no infants.

Largs has a good selection of daytime/evening cafes and restaurants, including two trendy bar/restaurants, Fluid and The Lounge. The paddle steamer, SS Waverley, plies its trade up and down the Firth of Clyde during the summer. Regular Caledonian MacBrayne ferries from nearby Largs pier to the Isle of Great Cumbrae (15 minutes) synchronise with a bus service to the island’s only town, quaint Millport. Here, bicycles may be hired for the easy, 11-mile circular ride around the island. Alternatively, you can also walk round the island. It's also a must-visit for twitchers and botanists.

The Isle of Arran can be reached by Cal-Mac ferry from Ardrossan, while 12 miles from Largs is Lochwinnnoch RSPB reserve. Glasgow (an hour by train) is a mecca for admirers of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Other attractions of this city include the Necropolis, an imposing hillside cemetery modelled on the famous Pere La-Chaise Cemetery in Paris.

The area is a golfer's paradise! Largs has its own course, as does the Isle of Cumbrae, while others within easy reach include Troon and Ayr.
