Wooden holiday lodge set on site in the Argyll National Park overlooking Loch Eck. A short walk away there is a small beach and wooded area on the shores of Loch Eck. Balcony overlooking mountains with stunning views. The Whistlefield Hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance. There are other high quality inns within a short drive of the area. The lodge is secluded by trees and shrubs to the rear of the property. The area is ideal for walking or touring Argyll and beyond, it is within easy reach of Inverary (20 miles) with its spectacular Castle home to the Dukes of Argyll and Oban, gateway to many of the islands off the West Coast of Scotland. The lodge is in a good location as a base for day visits to Glen Coe and Fort William. The city of Glasgow is within 30 miles via ferry across the Clyde. Edinburgh is within 100 miles via a spectacular drive through the Arrochar Alps, Loch Lomond.

The lodge is located within the Argyll National Park, approximately 10 miles from Dunoon, the nearest town. It is a good base for exploring this area of Scotland which has many lochs and mountains and is typical scenery for this part of the West Coast of Scotland. It is within easy reach of two major cities. During the Summer months there are various highland games in the area and Clyde Steamers leave from Dunoon pier to take visitors on trips to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute and surrounding areas. The cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh are within a day's commuting distance, as are the Trossachs, the mountains and spectacular scenery of Glen Coe and Ben Nevis - the highest mountain in Scotland.

There is a modern leisure centre in the town of Dunoon with up to date facilities. There is a golf course in Dunoon, plenty of places to fish or hire boats in the area. Horse riding is available, either in Lochgoilhead or near the main town of Dunoon - details can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre in Dunoon.

As the area has a high rain fall it may not be suitable for people with chest problems. The garden has a steep drop and would not be suitable for very small children.
