A beautiful self-contained s/c cottage hidden along a cobbled lane in Edinburgh's Georgian New Town. Literally 5 minutes walk from Princes Street and 10 minutes from the castle, this is the ideal base for exploring Edinburgh's many historic and retail treasures! Rated 4 star, the accommodation is one double en-suite bedroom, one twin room, a second bathroom, a comfortable living room with TV, DVD & CD players and a fold down sofa bed, a f/f kitchen and a small single lock-up garage. There is full central heating and internet access. Maximum occupancy is for 6 people and a baby cot and high chair are available. The New Town area of Edinburgh is bursting with eating places of every kind including continental style bars and child-friendly bistros, ethnic cafes and gourmet restaurants. Close by are independent art galleries, interesting and unique shops and of course, Harvey Nichols. Whatever the time of year, there is always something to see and do in this captivating capital city.

The Mews Cottage is located down a quiet cobbled lane in the very centre of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town. Only a five minute saunter to the wonderful shops on George Street and Princes Street and a further ten minute walk to the charming and historic Old Town, including Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Waverley Railway Station is just on the other side of Princes Street and this is also where you can get an open top bus tour round the city or a bus to the Royal Yacht Britannia. The Botanic Gardens, beautiful Charlotte Square and the Scott Monument are also within easy walking distance, and for further afield there is a bus stop 100 yards from the Club. Edinburgh is also a great place to use as a base before heading up to the highlands and islands of Scotland.

  • Prices per Low Season weekend and mid-week night are from £80 per night. At those times of the year we offer short breaks for late bookings and there are discounted rates depending on availability. Please contact us for the dates you require. all short breaks and reduced rates are limited and subject to availability.
  • Guests staying in the cottage are very welcome to use the bar and dining facilities of The Royal Scots Club which owns the Mews. There is a Cocktail Lounge and Bar as well as a Dining Room which serves breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner.
