Location: Scottish Highlands & Islands in United Kingdom

Lochcarron is a village in the Western Highlands of Scotland with a population of approx. 900. There is a well stocked Spar supermarket, an award winning Butcher & a garage shop.There are 2 Hotels/pubs,a Bistro & Cafe. All within 1-1.5 miles of Cottages. There is a 9 hole golf Course;you can choose between hill loch,river or sea fishing and it's perfect for people who like messing about in boats. Bring your own or canoes etc can be hired at local garage. Lochcarron is an ideal base for walking & climbing.

Overall excellent accommodation .The cottage has plenty of room with a well maintained garden and offers great views of the loch and mountains . The option of wall mounted heating or open fire adds to the character ab=nd charm of the cottage . The accommodation was extremely clean and well maintained . Would have got a score of 5 if the cottage had a shower rather than just a bath,Bedrooms and kitchen spacious with a reasonable sized lounge and hallway.the front garden outside the cottage is a good feature . The village is some 15mins walk from the cootage but has all the amenties you could want (shops/restuarant/cafe/pub/transport etc
directions and location are good and the owners made us very welcome
The accommodation is a great base for either chilling or touring the area, with lots going in, with the added delight of having to spend some time discovering some of the more remote/interesting attractions.
Overall we had a great week..
