Autumn getaway

Review Submitted: November 1, 2011 Date of Stay: October 2011
We had a fantastic time. This property had it all - spacious, comfortable with fabulous views from the amazing conservatory. Well appointed and an excellent base for walks and bike rides, we thoroughly enjoyed our week and would highly recommend the property to anyone.

Peaceful

Review Submitted: August 28, 2011 Date of Stay: August 2011
Fantastic House, really clean, spacious and extremely well equipped. The added horses and pony at the end of the very large garden was a real bonus. I had imagined the garden play equipment would be too small for my girls but my 10 and 12 year old seemed to enjoy it. The bedrooms were very large and comfy. 3 Bathrooms a real bonus when there are 4 females in your family.
The Sun room was delightful had many a morning coffee in there watching the girls in the garden with the horses. Also made a great place for the children to play games or do puzzles whilst the adults relaxed in front of the tv at the end of a busy day.
Good location for seeing the highlands, we visited Loch Ness, Landmark (just literally up the road) is a great outdoor adventure park for children of all ages.
Highlands folk museum a FREE attraction with lots to keep children amused, again only about 20 mins away.
We arrived on the day of the Nethy Bridge Highland Games which was terrific really bought the village to life, which although was great, did make the village seem a little flat when it was over. Nethy Bridge is a lovely quiet place, not much in the village to do, (although does have a very well stocked spar, and butchers) which for us was great, when we wanted adventure we hopped in our car and knew we had this lovely tranquil house to return to after all the hustle and bustle of the day.
I would recommend this house to anyone wanted to get away from it all in a lovely peaceful environment but being able to see the attractions the Highlands has to offer without having to travel too far.
If I had to find a fault it would be the shared access to the garage. We were unaware of this prior to booking and although not major issue could present a problem if you wished to garage your vehicle. However there is plenty of space on the driveway (we parked 2 large cars without no problems).
The only other thing was the football table being housed in the garage wasnt really able to be used, could poss be re-sited in the very lovely sun room.
Over all excellent house, good location and would love to come again.

perfect base for skiing or adventure

Review Submitted: March 24, 2011 Date of Stay: February 2011
We stayed in the house while skiing, horse riding and climbing. my wife and 5 children loved it. We all loved the house and great garden. The views are stunning and the setting is so pleasant and quiet (until my kids turned up). the house is very well equipped and clean, the only problem was the water was not hot long enough for us all to bathe at night. Other than that we had a great time there and will be going back.

Fantastic house

Review Submitted: September 24, 2010 Date of Stay: September 2010
Our family had a great holiday in this house in Nethy Bridge. Our 2 year old son loved the toys and books that were there and the garden was huge! The house was in a lovely area which was very peaceful. It was also very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking some nice meals in it (can recommend the local butcher). There was loads to see and do in the area for every age group. We hope to return soon!
