'Sonce' (Sunny) cottage enjoys a beautiful position and stunning location in Goricko Park. It's unique design offers; ground floor: entrance hall, three light, good sized bedrooms with ample storage, family size bathroom and utility area, well equipped kitchen and dining area with a beautifully designed Hungarian wood burner for fresher evenings and winter stays. The spacious, gallery living area on the first floor has two sofas, coffee tables, air conditioning, satellite TV, video/DVD players, stereo system and a good selection of board games/fiction/non-fiction books. Sonce has central heating for year round use. It's unique design and use of local wood rewards you with a light and airy feeling. Outside are lawn areas with plants, shrubs, fruit trees, wooden decking to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and a great bar-b-q and outdoor eating area. A grassed area with basket ball net and four bikes and helmets makes the property suitable for everyone - walkers, cyclists, families, couples.

Sonce's breathtaking position is in the heart of the Goricko Park - the pretty village of Selo, at the top of a gentle hill resulting in excellent views. Great walking trails and cycle routes run immediately from the village around the park and a gentle walk is to the famous chapel of St Nicholas built in the mid-13th century. In the village centre is one of the region’s best restaurants the ‘K Rotundi’ - you can sample a wide choice of Prekmurje specialties and local wines. The cottage's ideal location is just 15km from Terme 3000, a wonderful leisure and spa complex with a fantastic water park and swimming areas - wave machines, waterfalls, slides, Jacuzzi and the famous “black thermal water”, cycling trails, jogging tracks, tourist information, 18 hole golf course and a spa complex with health and beauty treatments. Murska Sobota is only a 15min drive and has a good range of supermarkets and restaurants, ice cream cafes and bars, bowling alley and library with free internet.

Notes: Sonce is a great place for a small walking or cycling group, families, couples, nature lovers, whilst Vienna can be reached in just over 2 hours. The area is a cycler’s paradise and an abundance of trails and paths cover the park, it’s possible to cycle to four countries during your stay! For walkers Goricko is full of fauna and flora and there are some lovely nature walks to neighbouring villages and places of interest. Prekmurje is “Slovenia’s Cotswolds” with quaint, old villages, rolling hills, vineyards, stone farms and home grown vegetables for its own style of food. This teamed with some excellent wine and friendly local people makes it a lovely place to explore. This property is managed by an English speaking couple who live just 15 minutes away and are more than happy to arrange airport pick up, car hire and advice about the local area. Prekmurje's history and location means that this forgotten corner of the country offers a rich mix of food, wine, culture and scenery.

We stayed for one week with our kids (14,11) in the house "Sonce", wich is really a sunshine. The furnishing of
the house, the landscape, the silence we didn`t miss anything. It is beautiful there for biking, hiking, relaxing.
Car is necessary. Sightseeing is possible as well, castles,
small towns, wine tastings....
