Our traditional single story cottage with modern facilities has been renovated to a very high standard with families and couples in mind. The cottage consists of two bedrooms that sleeps 6, a large kitchen / dining room, a family bathroom, a relaxing living room, a games room (table tennis, electronic darts, air hockey) a terrace BBQ area with fantastic views and plenty of enclosed outdoor space (great for kids) that includes over 100 fruit trees and wine producing vines. The kitchen / dining room is defiantly the heart of the house. The large dining table seats 10, and there is a traditional Hungarian bread oven / heater in the corner of the room. Slovenia is all about the great out-doors and to help you take full advantage we provide cycles for you to use. We are a British family and live just 25 mins. from our holiday cottage in Fokovci and we look forward to welcoming you. Notes to the rental rates

• To make a reservation please complete our on-line booking form that can be found on our web site. (Please enquire for details). The price we charge is for the cottage for each night and not per person. We can also arrange airport transfers from Graz airport so that your holiday can start as soon as you board the plane. We can arrange car hire at very competitive rates to be delivered to your cottage.
  
• A deposit for three days stay is required to guarantee the booking. Details of this will be included on your holiday conformation once you have submitted your booking form. The balance is due on arrival.
  
• 10% Discount is given if there are just two people. Any other special offers or discounts will be published on our web site. We welcome well behaved pets at no extra charge. Fokovci cottage is open all year round as an oil fired central heating system has been installed.
  

Accommodation and Facilities for the cottage in Slovenia

Travel details

The easiest way to reach us from the UK is to fly into the Austrian airport of Graz which is just 75km from your accommodation. (Approx. 1. 5 hour). The low cost airline Ryan Air fly daily from London Stansted and air fares can be booked for as little as 0.99p! (Book early for best prices). Cars can be hired and picked up from the airport, however check charges as some charge a premium for taking cars over the border. Another option is that we can arrange transfers to and from the airport as we have a luxury 7-seater air-conditioned mini bus. (70 Euro one way). We can then arrange for a local Slovenian car rental company to deliver a car to your accommodation from €30 per day including full insurance and all the papers to drive over the borders! The national airline Adria and Easy Jet fly into the capital of Ljubljana. It is approx. a 2.5 hours drive to Prekmurje from the capital. It is also possible to drive from the UK to Prekmurje and would take around 18 hours.

Other services

A food shopping service is offered so that you have a ready stocked fridge on arrival. An additional charge of €16 is made for this service plus the cost of your requested shopping. Note that shops close on Sunday at 1.00pm, therefore if you are flying in on a Sunday you wont be able to get to the shops in time. Group trips: If you don't feel like driving, i.e. feel like a game of golf and a few beers afterwards then we can arrange to take your party of up to 6 adults to and from the venue of your choice in our air-conditioned mini-bus. Price on application. Baby sitting service: If you fancy a meal out without the children we can arrange for a babysitter to watch the children for a couple of hours. The charge is €8 per hour and the sitter will be English speaking. There are bicycles at our cottage that are FREE to use. As we live just 20 minutes from our cottage, help is always available if and when you need us.

For children

As we have two young children ourselves we understand the extra strain involved when travelling with children. Therefore one of our main aims is to provide accommodation that is safe and equipped for children. We provide highchairs (good quality wooden ones); cots with bedding; bouncy chairs; play gyms; bed guards; potty’s; toys and games as well as a good selection of kids videos and DVD's. Outside there are more toys as well as swings and a large enclosed trampoline! There is also a sand pit and during the hot summer we erect a large paddling pool. In the kitchen cupboards you will find plastic crockery, knives and forks as well as a bottle steriliser. We have tested the accommodation rigorously by way of our 2 year old son who is very 'adventurous'. We think we have created a safe and fun family environment. We feel our accommodation and location are an excellent choice for families with babies, especially in early or late summer when it's not too hot or busy.
