We provide maps, guide books and extensive guidance on things to do in the area, ensuring you get the most out of your stay. Whether you want to relax and get away form it all, or you are into your outdoor activities the country has both and our house is ideally located for both too. Language is not a problem as many people speak English. Slovenians are extremely friendly and helpful. Slovenia is very safe, with crime practically non existent, in the rural areas. In January 2007 Slovenia converted the the Euro so no problems working out what things cost either!
Prekmurje is the easternmost region of Slovenia. It borders Hungary to the north-east, Austria to the north-west, Croatia to the south and the Slovenian region of Styria to the south-west. It is named after the Mura River, which separates it from the rest of Slovenia (a literal translation from Slovenian would be Over-Mura).
