With direct views to the mountains from every room this traditional property is both spacious and luxurious. It has niceties above and beyond what you'd expect from a rental property, which comprises of a bathroom and kitchen/diner, a sumptuous lounge with leather settees and an entertainment system, and two bedrooms. Large balconies are found on two floors, which gets the sun all day long and have uninterrupted views to the meadows and mountains. Also available are tennis rackets and there's a computer with internet connection as well as a PlayStation, books (English fiction and non-fiction) and boardgames. Mojstrana has its own ski runs, ice rink, cross country ski course and ice climbing wall, whilst in the summer there are hundreds of walking, bike trails and climbing opportunities. Lake Bled is just 20km away, whilst the Vrata Valley and Triglav National Park start at Mojstrana's borders. Kranjska-Gora, Slovenia's top ski resort, is just a 15 minute car or bus journey

Mojstrana is in the heart of the Slovenian Julian Alps, just a few miles from both the Italian and Austrian borders. It is surrounded by rocky peaks, making this a perfect spot for a winter ski holiday or a summer hiking trip. Alternatively, you can laze on the beaches at Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, and other sports facilities such as tennis courts and football pitches are on your doorstep. Although Mojstrana has its own beginners ski slopes, experienced skiers can make the most of the major resort of Kranjska Gora which is just a 10 minute car ride away (public transport is also an option). Literally a few minutes walk away from the apartment is the Triglav National Park's border, and carry on along the road and you'll be transversing the gloriously scenic Vrata Valley. On a more practical not, Mojstrana has its own tourist information centre, post office and supermarket, as well as bars and places to eat and drink. The local pizzeria is particularly popular.

Notes to the rental rates

  • Due to the high standard of furnishings, a deposit of 150 pounds will be payable before departure, to be returned once inventory has been completed at the end of your trip. The initial deposit is 50% of the total price to be paid immediately, with the other 50% to be paid at least one month before travel. Foreign monies can now be accepted via my pay pal account for a transaction fee of 4% (which only covers my costs). Lastly, an extra charge of 1 Euro per person per day must be charged as tourist tax.
    Rental of bicycles, internet access and tennis rackets are extra (respectively).

  • The bathroom, like the rest of the apartment, is completely new and well finished, with floor-to-ceiling tiles and a long mirror on the back of the bathroom door. Facilities include a toilet, shower, heated towel rail, and washer/dryer.

  • Bedroom one and two are in the attic, so headroom is limited, as is hanging space. But these spacious bedrooms are carefully decorated, with built in cupboards and shelves offering plenty of storage. The children's cot also has a changing table section and a mobile. A child gate is fitted to the upper bedroom with two singles, and there's a child gate on the lounge stairs leading to the kitchen.

Skiing Information:

There are various ski resorts nearby, but the biggest is the Slovenia's most popular - Kranjska-Gora. This has numerous runs suitable for all abilities. There's also a small ski slope, as well as an ice rink, within the village within easy walking distance of the apartment.

We had a wonderful holiday in Slovenia and your beautiful apartment certainly added to the experience. I think my wife was quite smitten with the country and I can foresee a return trip at some point. Mr & Mrs Mulhall

Had a fantastic time at your apartment. A really lovely house to come back to after a hard days (and nights) skiing.
