This lovely apartment, with the luxury of two separate bedrooms and its own parking, enjoys an ideal quiet location in the picturesque alpine village of Kranjska Gora, a few minutes’ walk from some of best walking, cycling and skiing that Slovenia has to offer. It’s light and airy design, cleverly set over two floors, offers a well equipped entrance kitchen, an excellent family sized living room with a dining area and balcony. A well planned bathroom comes complete with power shower and washing machine, whilst the large master bedroom has ample storage, a mountain view and its own balcony. On the second floor is a good sized separate bedroom also with ample storage. The apartment’s excellent location in the heart of Kranjska Gora offers great walking and cycling routes running directly from the village. Places to visit include the capital, Ljubljana, the beautiful Lake Bled & Lake Bohinj and the spectacular Postojna caves.

About Krankska gora:: Surrounded by breath-taking mountain views and at the base of the stunning Vrsic Pass, Kranjska Gora is just a short drive from Lake Bled, Italy and Austria. The village has two well stocked supermarkets, two banks, post office and a great selection of local bars, cafes, pizzerias, cake shops and local restaurants.

The apartment is a great place for a walking or cycling group, families, couples, nature or adventure lovers and can be combined with the apartment next door, making it an ideal base for two families, couples or a group of friends holidaying together. Gorenjska is Slovenia’s mountain area famous for an amazing variety of fauna and flora, with its closeness to the River Soca a wide range of water activities can be enjoyed during your stay whilst trekking trips can be enjoyed with local, qualified guides. The excellent ski school has some of the best instructors in the country whilst cross country skiing, snow shoeing trips, snow biking, husky sledding and sledging are some of the extra activities that can be enjoyed in the winter season. An English speaking contact can be given during your stay and are more than happy to answer any questions about the local area.

Ski: Kranjska Gora has a snow range of 809-1570m, is typically rated excellent for beginners and intermediate skiers. It is also host to a world cup slalom run. Ski area: 30 km. 13 blue runs, 4 red and 3 black. 17 lifts (4 chairlifts and 13 drag lifts). 46 snow cannons. Other activities include snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice climbing and sleigh rides. The World Cup is held in Kranjska Gora in March each year, please check ski press for dates. Other skiing opportunities within a 1 hour drive of Kranjska Gora are: Bled, Bohinj, Bovec, Vogel and Tarvisio in Italy.

Great family ski apartment

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment close to Kranjska Gora Centre. The apartment was spacious and brightly decorated with modern furnishings. The town centre was a short walk away. Ample storage for ski equipment at the apartment but also availability of lockers for hire at the foot of the ski slope.
Owners provide plenty of useful information about local amenities and were very helpful in answering any queries.
I would definitely recommend this apartment.

new year in KG

Family of 5, with three teenage daughters travelled to Slovenia for New Year 2007. KG great location, not too far from the airport. Finding the property in the resort was a bit problematic as the driver didn't know the town and the ground floor of the apartment was then an unfinished shop unit. But thankfully we were not put off as the apartment itself was fabulous. Brand new furniture, fixtures and fittings (most from Ikea), the flat was comfortable, clean and warm. the kitchen is small but very well equipped for the breakfasts and occasional evening meals we ate there. the lounge area is a little small for five adults, but again, we didn't go on a ski holiday to sit in and watch the TV! DVD player also included so you can take discs if you like to watch TV to relax.
Great location from town, a five minute walk to the main street with bars and restaurants, and only two minutes from a well stocked supermarket and bakery. the slopes are only a couple of minutes further on from the main street, with button and chair lifts. A very nice pizza place literally just on the other side of the street. We're only beginners, so the slopes were perfectly adequate for us. New Years Eve was a riot, lots of locals arrived for the event, and there was a huge party in the main square, although the local tradition appeared to be throwing bottles at each other (all in good humour!). You will need to book a restaurant for NYEve though, because the influx of local tourists means they are all fully booked.Loads of fireworks too, which we watched from the little balcony off the main bedroom and through the skylights in the roof. Skiing on New Years Day was a dream though, with next to no-one on the slopes.
We had a small drama with a twisted ankle, but the team on the slopes was very quick to attend and organise a taxi to the hospital which is only about 20 mins away. We had a very short waiting time in a very clean casualty department, and were dealt with by english speaking staff, although we did come home with a pair of Slovenian crutches.
We would definitely recommended this property and this resort to anyone - lovely accommodation in a very beautiful village.

We've stayed in this apartment twice now and have had two fantastic holidays. The apartment is well equipped particularly the kitchen and clean throughout. Feb 2009 was the best snow ever - we thought it would never stop.

The owners are really helpful and have always answered any questions we have had quickly.

Fantastic Holiday

I booked this appartment and the one next door for 3 families (12) including 6 children in Feb 2007. The facilities were exellent, clean and very well maintained. We had a fantastic holiday and couldn't have asked for better accomodation. None of our children had ever been skiing before but the ski school and equipement hire was simple to arrange on arrival and all the children were skiing by the end of the week. We have returned to Kranjska-Gora every year since but have been unable to use this appartment as it has been booked.

3 sunny days in the mountains

Travelled by car to Kranjska Gora as a family of 4 (incl 2 young adults). Booked easily over the internet. Apartment easy to find. Spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Car parking spaces at rear of property. Lots of books and games. Owners were very thoughtful and had left lots of cooking items in the kitchen cupboards. Supermarket 5 minutes walk down the road. Beautiful views of the mountains from the bedroom windows. Good local pizza restaurant (just across the road). If touring by car, lots of lakes and walks - in particular a lovely 'hidden valley' just west of the town.
