The little town has all the facilities one could want, including many excellent restaurants and pubs close by, with banks and supermarkets only minutes away.

LINEN

Sufficient bedding and towels are provided for six people for a two week stay. Beach towels are also provided. If visitors require a maid or babysitting services, this can be arranged in advance with the owners at an additional cost.

LOCATION

The famous and breathtaking Chapmans Peak Drive is five minutes from the house, and the coast road into Cape Town, Victoria Harbour and Table Mountain takes only 25 minutes. The very modern shopping centre of Claremont is 15 minutes away, whilst Constantia is 10 minutes by car. If horse riding is needed, there are two livery stables close by offering outrides for all levels of experience, and if walking is your pleasure, then you can walk up the back of Table Mountain through nature reserves or via the famous Kirstenbosch gardens. All this within 5 - 10 minutes from the house. Hout Bay's long sandy beach is just 1 minute away by car. The Cape's famous wine industry based at locations such as Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek are all within an hours drive.

EATING OUT

Due to South Africa’s excellent cuisine at low prices, one of the biggest pleasures for the overseas visitor is dining out. Hout Bay has a host of superb restaurants offering food of all flavours, such a Italian, Greek, French, Japanese, English and especially fresh seafood. Being a working harbour, Hout Bay offers some of the best seafood around and many restaurants specialising in the days catch can be found within minutes of the house.
