Garden Route holiday house: Plettenbergbay

If you want to be constantly astounded by one of the most stunning and beautiful views in the world then you have to stay at this house in Plettenburg Bay.

My wife Carol and I have lived and worked all around the world and so we have seen some of the most beautiful places in the world. Nothing, however, comes close the holiday we had recently in Plettenburg Bay. We had the opportunity to stay in what we believe is one of the best houses in the resort. Sure there are plenty of bigger and grander houses but that takes away from what this property has to offer in easy living combined with a stunning surroundings

This house offers a quiet comfortable retreat for a couple who want to relax to a flexible and open living home for more active families. It is decorated in such a way as to complement and enhance the abundance of natural light that fills the main living areas. The open spaces make it an ideal location for people wanting easy outdoor living.

Walking into the house it is deceptive how big the house is. Being built on a slope, the house is split on two levels and the spacious lounge, dining area and balcony/terrace make up most of the first floor. The kitchen is fully fitted with all mod cons and opens onto a large covered outside eating area which can comfortably seat ten people.

The house has four double bedrooms two en-suite and two with separate shower and bathroom. Three of these are situated downstairs along with a large comfortable living room with a television and satellite television. This area opens out through large doors onto another patio with a pool and a barbeque area.

The house is also close to many of the best beaches in South Africa and water sport facilities. This is complimented by a good size town which has all the facilities you will need for a perfect holiday. The restaurants range from relaxed and family friendly to fine dining.

After a very short stay in the house we had to return overseas and we have only one regret – that we did not stay longer. It was one of the best holidays we have ever had and that was made possible by the house, the facilities, the relaxed living and without doubt the world class view.
