Fully equipped luxury house on South Africa's sunshine coast (malaria free) between East London & Port Elizabeth. MES (bath & shower): plus 1 double & 2 twin bedrooms; large lounge, TV, dish, DVD/CD, dining area, w/m, d/w. balcony/views. Mature garden, sundeck with hot spa tub. Kleinemonde is a small beach & river mouth community of a few hundred people with 1 food shop, restaurant, pub, liquor store, petrol pump & police station. Warm, safe shallow lagoons, long sandy beaches & rocky points. Just 18 km (20 mins) from the quaint & attractive town of Port Alfred with it's many shops, marina, restaurants, banks etc. Lots of attractions in the area, safaris in the many big 5 private game reserves or national parks such as Addo elephant reserve, excellent bird watching, golf, hiking, biking or for the more adventurous bungee jumping, quad bike trails etc. Easy, direct drive of 112 Kms (1hr 15 mins) from EL airport . Local contact on hand for all advice & assistance. Opt. maid service.

House by beach on sunshine coast in South Africa. Wonderful all year round weather - never gets too hot never gets too cold! Warm, dry winters & warm summers . Great family location, safe swimming in the Indian ocean or the beautiful warm twin lagoons of Kleinemonde. Long empty sand beaches and rocky out crops where the endangered African black oyster catchers still patrol without interference. Close to Addo elephant park and other Malaria free Big 5 game reserves and famous safari locations such as Shamwari. Near to south Africa's famous garden route, the mountain kingdom of Lesotho and the Drakensberg mountains. Fantastic birdwatching throughout the area plus dolphin watching from the beach. Excellent golf courses nearby at Fish River Sun resort (5Km) & Port Alfred. 15 KMs from the quaint village of Bathurst where the 1820 English settlers first settled the area. Lots & lots of very different but consistently good restaurants in the area - and the UK pound goes a long way here!

Both bathrooms fully refurbished in 2008 with all new fittings, taps, shower doors, lighting, granite vanity units, sinks etc.

Notes: House is built on a terrace in the back of the large dunes bordering the beach. The garage is at street level with internal and external steps up to the living quarters on the next level above the garages. The living accommodation is split level with the large open plan main lounge, dining area and kitchen approx 2 feet (3 steps) above the rest of the living quarters. The garden and sun decks are flat and at the same level as the living accommodation. Whilst access should not be a problem for most people, and there is wheel chair access via a ramp to the rear of the house there would be some inconvenience to the very elderly, infirm or wheelchair users.

We stood in Kleinemonde for 3 nights in March 2009. The weather was fantastic, the beach was breathtaking and the house was great, relaxing, quite and private.
Fiona the keyholder was a friendly host and always ready to answer questions. We enjoyed to hottub and the view from the Deck, on windy days we hided in the windshield of the and enjoyed the warm sun on the deck.
We had a geart time at Kleinemnde and it was good luck to chisse this house as the last location of our trip through south africa. If we get the chance, we would be very happy to come back
