3 WEEKS FOR THE PRICE OF 2 - JUNE TO AUGUST 2009. Vistas del Viñedos is a ground floor 2 bedroom apartment situated in the beautiful Jalon Valley affording spectacular views over the mountains, vineyards, almond, orange and olive groves. There is a large communal pool with shower and toilets that is shared by just 32 properties. Both the bedrooms, one double and one twin, have fitted wardrobes and there is a lounge dining room with television, DVD player, music centre and hot/cold air-conditioning, an American kitchen with oven and hob, frig freezer, microwave, toaster and electric kettle, a full bathroom and a washing machine. The apartment is a few minutes walk from the village centre and the local bars, shops and restaurant and just 15 minutes walk to the small town of Jalon that has a weekly market. The beaches of Denia, Javea, Moraira and Calpe are around a 20 minute drive (12 miles). Please enquire for details of the on-line booking facility. LONG LET FROM 450 EUROS PER MONTH

Lliber and the Jalon Valley: Lliber is in the Jalon Valley which is a very popular for walking, and is noted for its wonderful scenery. The area has many excellent restaurants with prices much lower than the coastal areas. Jalon village is just 15 minutes walk from the apartment and has numerous shops and restaurants and large bodegas operated by the local wine producing co-operatives. There is a weekly market on a Tuesday and a popular 'flea' market on Saturday mornings with two hundred stalls selling a diverse range of antiquities, nick’nacks, etc. Honey is made and sold in Jalon in the same way that it has for hundreds of years and there is a factory that continues to produce wicker furniture.

Places to Visit: Lliber is an ideal centre for visiting other villages, towns, attractions and places of interest on the Costa Blanca. The safari park at Vergel and caves at Benidoleig are a short drive away as are the nearby coastal towns of Denia, Moraira and Calpe with their fine white sand beaches. The nearby village of Gata is well known for its wicker goods and here also is a Spanish guitar factory that you can look around. The waterfalls at Bollula are featured on some of the postcards and the pretty village of Guadalest perched on a rock is famous for hand made lace. Benidorm is only 40 minutes drive and offers the huge aqua park Aqualandia, sea world (Mundo Mar) and the new Terra Mitica Disney style theme park. Here also is the Benidorm Palace that put on some excellent stage shows with dinner included if you wish. For scenery the Sierra Mountain and nearby Montgo Mountain, that looks like an elephant from some directions, will reward you with some spectacular views.

Unfortunatley our rental experience was spoilt by a poorly maintained appartment!
The appartment was however well presented, in a great location and kept to an acceptable and clean standard however our stay was tarnished by the following faults?
1, air conditioning faulty only partialy works 28 degrees lowest we could get the room
2, DVD player faulty not working
3, keys to gate on pool faulty causing whole family to climb over wall to gain access to facillities
4, no gate on veranda making it unsafe for small children

even with the above faultsI would still consider renting this appartment again as long as all the issues could be resolved prior to our arrival as we really liked the location and appartment.
Owner's Response: We are pleased that our guests found the apartment well presented.

The problems with the air conditioning, DVD and key to the pool area have been resolved and we are looking into the possibility of a gate for the veranda.

We pay an in-resort representative to be on call to deal with any problems like this and it is a pity her services were not requested at the time when they would have been dealt with immediately.
