Fabulous private new country house with pool and mountain views

Very quiet and private location. The house is approached off a quiet tarmac country lane along a 60m private drive up to ornamental wrought iron gates. There are beautiful gardens around the house with a diagonal path running through the newly planted Mediterranean flowering tree orchard. The house has been tastefully and carefully furnished both inside and out by the owners to a very high standard. The two outside terraces are fantastic sun traps - all year round and very private. The terracota lower level terrace is huge (approx 90 sq meters) and a wonderful place to relax by the 8 x 4m swimming pool with Roman steps. To one side and the rear of the house stand an ornamental (working) well and grape vine, together with a 'boules' game playing area.

The sleepy village of Murla is a 5 minute flat walk from the house and has a bakery for fresh bread each day, a small bar and a couple of shops and vegetable market (Mondays). The Jalon Valley is famous for its wine and Saturday rastro and offers a wealth of attractions including horse riding, walking, golf and scenic mountain drives. There are a large number of restaurants to choose from in the surrounding villages of Orba, Alcalali and Parcent - all offering excellent value for money with 'menu del dia' from approx 8 Euros per head including bread and wine. The town of Jalon is a 10 minute drive - it is a 25 minute drive to the nearest beach of Calpe. This is a long white sandy beach with lots of bars and childrens' play areas and the 'passeo' a walk along the whole beach and around the famous Calpe Rock. Nearest airport is Alicante (approx 1 hour drive). There are many low cost airlines flying into Alicante including Easy Jet, Monarch and BMI Baby. Valencia is an alternative.

Bedroom 2 with king sized double bed, cabinets and built in wardrobes. Bedroom 3 - twin and built in wardrobes. Ensuite bathroom to master bedroom with walk in shower, bath, wc and wash basin. Main bathroom includes large walk in shower wc and wash basin. In addition there is a separate office with computer desk, chair and imac. The entrance is approached by wide large feature steps which make the house unsuitable for toddlers or very small children. The 8 x 4m pool has Roman steps and is set within a very large flat terracotta tiled terrace, ideal for BBQ's and sunbathing. The house is fully fenced and the entrance is through a high feature wrought iron gates. Airconditioning available at a supplement of £30 per week

Comfortably furnished inside

Casa Los Naranjos has been tastefully and carefully furnished by the owners. The lounge boasts new leather sofas, solid wood cabinets and matching coffee table. The Panasonic wide-screen television has UK (German/Spanish/French) satellite channels, a DVD and video player. There are plenty of CD's at the house to play on the Panasonic music system, together with a selection of videos and dvds. The house has been furnished to be a comfortable home throughout the season. It is cool and airy in the hot summer months Ideally the house will suit a discerning family who appreciate the benefits of a private location with easy access to the local attractions.

Wonderful terracing and gardens to relax in

There are two terraces at Casa Los Naranjos. The top terrace sweeps around the front of the house and offers delightful views across the orange groves. In front of you: the Col de Rates where you can watch occasional paragliders during the day and observe distant car lights winding their way up/down the mountain. To the left are the villages of Parcent and Alcalali, to the right the castle like church in the village of Murla. Shooting stars are a regular occurrence - the night sky bright; without light pollution. The top terrace is furnished with a good quality teak octagonal dining table and 4 matching chairs with cream sun umbrella (take care in the wind). The bottom terrace is at ground level and approx 90 sq meters curving around the house and gardens. The swimming pool is here offering privacy and a wonderful area to relax and sunbath on the sun beds or BBQ. There is a large teak rectangular dining table with 4 chairs and large cream parasol to offer shade during the day.

Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break

Because this is the owners holiday home, we have everything you need to relax on holiday from beach umbrellas to buckets and spades and blow up toys for the swimming pool. There is a Boules set and basket ball net all for your careful use. There are 2 adult bicycles and two children's bikes for you to enjoy the wonderful bike rides around the quite lanes of Murla. Outside living is essential in the summer months and the owners have furnished the terraces with this in mind. The upper terrace is furnished with a teak dining table, chairs and umbrella. On the lower terrace there is the swimming pool with roman steps (8 x 4m) a large teak dining table, chairs and umbrella with quality sun loungers and a Weber BBQ.

Golf Information:

Golf courses abound in this region with several to choose from within a 30 minute drive.
