Refurbished to a high standard, this Groundfloor Apartment in Guardamar del Segura only 150 metres or three minutes walk to the glorious Playa Roqueta, a Blue Flag beach that stretches for 12 kilometres. Two Bedrooms with fitted wardrobes, one has a Double bed, other has two Single beds and a put-u-up type bed is available if necessary. Ceiling fans are in the lounge and bedrooms. Linen and Towels are provided, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS. Separate fully fitted Kitchen with microwave gas hob fridge/freezer oven coffee machine, washing machine. Complimentary tea coffee milk sugar, bowl of fresh fruit and bottle of wine upon arrival. Guardamar del Segura, population 12,500 is a typical Spanish holiday resort, situated South of Alicante on the Costa Blanca. The weekly, Wednesday street market attracts lots of people, tourists and locals alike. The locally produced fruit and vegetables and locally manufactured leather goods are excellent value for money. Between the town and the beach is the enormous. 'Queen Sofia' park, thick with trees and plants, where visitors can enjoy cool, refreshing strolls even on the hottest of days. To beautify the natural surroundings, ponds with Terrapins, waterfowl and samples of aquatic fauna have been added. More than 800 hectares of coastal parkland have been carefully preserved, with hundreds of monumental dunes, pine, palm and eucalyptus trees, which were planted at the beginning of the 20th century to prevent the dunes from invading the urban area. For the more energetic of you there is a public leisure centre where you can enjoy tennis or swimming plus other activities.

Other rental properties maybe outside of Guardamar so will require transport into the town and beach and will require a hire car. CHECK THE EXACT LOCATION BEFORE YOU BOOK. Golf: The Costa Blanca presents itself like a veritable golfer's dream within reach of domestic and foreign tourists alike. The Costa Blanca golf courses benefit from exceptional climate and weather conditions that have to be added to the quality and design of its facilities.The typical Mediterranean climate ensures the best conditions to play golf all year round. Getting to and around the Costa Blanca is the easiest, due to its privileged location and its excellent road links. Renting our apartment is conveniently located. All the golf courses are located in areas of unquestionable natural attraction. The beauty of the landscape, the blinding allure of its heavenly beaches, the cultural riches of its towns...are some of the reasons that make the Costa Blanca the ideal locations for relaxation and entertainment. It is a golfers' paradise - There are 13 courses south of Alicante and 10 more north of Alicante (see Map of the area). Play different course every day, there are 8 courses within 30 minutes drive of Guardamar. Tips : La Finca, Villamartin and Las Ramblas - Are administered by the same company but are differently challenging and one fax can make bookings for all three. Campoamor - Is different again. If you want to play 36 holes in a day- this is next door to Las Ramblas. So play one course, lunch and play another with minimal travel time. In the autumn, winter and spring it is best to book. Handicap certificates are normally required.

Other Activities: Public Indoor and Outdoor Swimming Baths and Leisure Centre in Guardamar. Many Golf courses within easy travelling distances.

Dave & Maria's apartment was as promised, this was our 6th visit to Guardamar and by far the best apartment and location so far.
It was so nice not to have worry about transfers to and from the airport, and very nice to be met by a friendly face eventhough we had never met before.
I would highly recommend Dave & Maria's apartment with it's lovley sea veiw, beach, restaurants and shops just a stone through away.
We will rent again.

Location exactly where we thought.
Know Guadamar quite well. Great beach.
Apartment great for us 2. Food pack very good.
Very very clean and well maintained.
Would have liked to have some english on t.v. if only news.
Would suggest a villa book for those on first visit to have info re restaurants etc.
Pick up from airport great.
Will return.

Thanks for your review. Pleased you enjoyed yourselves at our apartment. Regarding the TV ( just installed a new 32" LCD TV with freeview, Ron! ), the apartments in the "Goya" are 99% Spanish owned so there is no chance of receiving Sky TV. Because the TV is digital, there are some stations that you can change the language to English ie. some films, CSI and Mentalist etc. Unfortunately the news and sports channels are Spanish only. we have just returned from our holiday at dave and maria s apartment in guardamar and had a lovely time, the apartment had everything you could possibly want for your holiday needs. With the beach on the doorstop, and bars and restaurants just a short stroll away, would recommend it to anybody.

Perfect place for relaxed holiday

My travelcompagnion (89 yrs. old) and I had a splendid 14-days' stay at the apartment owned by Dave & Maria.
The apartment is completely furnished and fully equiped. At arrival we didn't have to rush over to the shop to get the basic grocery: everything was there already as kind of a welcome package.
It only takes a few minutes'walk to the lovely beach; restaurants, shops and bars are close by.
I would certainly recommend this place to my friends.

A fantastic holiday

This was our second visit to Dave and Maria's apartment and again we had a wonderful and relaxing week. It was great to be driven to and from the apartment and car seats were thought of for both our boys. The property was very clean and we were grateful for the food brought in as we arrived on a sunday when the shops were shut.
The apartment is very well equipped.
The close location of the beach is great and we recommend the park which is only 15 minutes walk away. The supermarket is also ideally situated.
Thank you for a great week. We will be back next year!
