Our Luxury apartment is situated in an exclusive private complex, located 300m from a beautiful quiet 15km sandy beach awarded the coveted blue flag for cleanliness and safety year on year. Portico Mar has its own porter and night security guard making it extremely safe. Our first floor apartment is set in a lush garden landscape the perfect hideaway. In the gardens are 3 large adjoining pools excellent for all ages, with a life guard on duty from June to September. The apartment is furnished to a high standard throughout and fully air conditioned (providing heat in winter). Our extensive equipped open plan kitchen comes with all modern appliances. Adjoining the kitchen is a large comfortable family lounge, leading to a south facing terrace with sea views and dinning for 4 people. With a local restaurant serving excellent and international cuisine and the beach a stroll away, Portico Mar is the perfect place to get away and relax.

Guardamar is a 30 minute drive south of Alicante, this typical Spanish town has lots to offer. With its array of shops , bars, and a wide variety of restaurants. There is an excellent promenade featuring cafes and bars serving local food and wines. On a Wednesday morning the local farmers market is abundant with lots of goodies! Guardamars beautiful beach offers something for everyone with various entry points giving the option of busy or quiet secluded areas. Visit the local sand dunes or the attractive Reina Sofia Park where the pine groves have been enhanced with lakes, ponds and wildlife. . There are 5 championship golf courses near by. If you require a round just let us know in advance. Discount rates can be negotiated with clubs and transportation. Nearby 'Habaneras' offers excellent shopping for all with Mango, Zara, H&M, Massimo dutti. Why not spoil yourself at the 4* Hotel Laguna which offers fabulous Spa treatments and pamper days well worth a visit.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A non refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking. The outstanding balance must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start of the rental. Cheques should be made payable to Rachel Johnston.
    A refundable security deposit of £200 must also be paid 2 weeks prior to the start of your rental. This will be refunded back to you on inspection of the property, within 20 days.
  • In addition to the standard cleaning materials, washing up liquid, dishcloths and toilet rolls. Should you have any special requirements or require any shopping prior to your arrival please inform us upon booking. All additional cost/ shopping will be payable locally on arrival. We will endeavour to meet your needs and try to make your holiday special.

A very nice well furnished apartment on a well maintained complex located in a quiet part of Guardamar.
With short walk to the wonderfull beach.
I would recommend it to our friends and would like to return sometime next year.

Dutch experience in Portico Mar

It's a lovely apartment. The pools are fine for (little) children and addults.The garden in the public area is very nice. The beatiful beach is within a walk from the appartment. The apartment is very clean and hase a complete inventory. You do not need to bring much from home. The large balcony is private. You can enjoy your evenings. The apartment is taken care off by a helpfull couple. There's a good restaurant where you can eat good spare ribs. You need a car to get to Guardamar. There is a cheap parking with lots of space. In Guardamar there are enough restaurants. There are several playgrounds for children. In Torrieveja there is a new choppingarea. With a Carrefour. But you can also do your grocery chopping in Guardamar. We went on a boat trip to Tabarca. A small island where you can swim with the fish. We also went to Mundomar in Benidorm. Mundomar is a zoo with sealions and Dolphins. You can swim with the Dolphins. This was a beautiful experience! It was a super holliday for us.

The apartment was everything we wanted and more. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. I particularly enjoyed sitting out on the terrace in the evening with a chilled glass of Cava and a bowl of strawberries after a hard day's sunbathing
The pools and gardens were a lovely place to chill out; great for adults and children alike.
A car is useful for getting about although it was nice to walk in to town along the beach.
We had a great time and have already recommended the apartment to friends.

This apartment was lovely - and for our family perfect location for both the beach and the pools. The apartment is beautifully clean & tastefully decorated with air-conditioning in bedroom and lounge area (which we were most grateful for). The kitchen was really well equipped so 'eating in' was easy.

Although not really easy walking distance of Guardamar, we found a couple of very local restaurants with great food.

The most beautiful beach was only a short walk away - although the boys loved the pools which seemed to be supervised all the time they were there.

The owner's parents reassured us that they were on hand to sort out any problems we may have had (although we didnt have any problems at all) and made us feel very welcome indeed. We had a wonderful holiday last year - so much so, we are returning again this year.

thoroughly enjoyed this holiday. beach great, pools magnificent, cleanliness spot on. close to guardamar. Very relaxing. Quiet for a relaxing holiday. Restaurants nearby wonderful. car recommended. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.
