Photos and Description of this La Mata holiday apartment 2 bedrooms: Main bedroom has one double bed, second bedroom has two single beds

The apartment is located on the second floor of the apartment block overlooking beautifully landscaped communal gardens and large swimming pool with a small paddling pool for children. There is also a sun roof terrace with stunning views. The Master bedroom has one double bed, with a build in wardrobe' sliding doors open onto the the balcony. The second bedroom has two single beds. There is also a fold up single bed available. If required, a baby cot can also be arranged. All linen is provided. Guests are expected to bring their own bath & beach towels. In the dining / lounge area there is a table seating four and a sofa. There is a television with satellite channels. The lounge also has a sliding door which opens onto the balcony. The kitchen is equipped with washing machine, iron and ironing board, fridge freezer, oven and hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. All utensils, crockery and cutlery are available. Electrics are 220 volts, plug fittings are two pinned round.

Torrevieja is a beautiful town on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It was once a small fishing village which has now developed into a thriving seaside town boasting some of the most spectacular beaches in the area. The apartment is located to the North of Torrevieja, five minutes stroll to La Mata beach. A new board walk was recently constructed allowing one to stroll by the beach, amongst the dunes to the nearby town of La Mata. It is located in a quiet area but in close proximity, strolling distance to local bars, restaurants, large supermarket, care hire, bus stops and an internet cafe. Torreveija has became a favourite location for many golf enthusiasts not only in Europe but worldwide. The nearest airports are Alicante and Murcia. If you do not wish to hire a car transport can be arranged to and from the airport, paid locally. Car Hire is available at both airports. There are two bus stops located near the apartment to bring you in and out of the town!

Additional information about rental rates

  • Payment is accepted in both Euros and British Pounds, by bank transfer or cheque.
    A 5% Discount is available for reservations of three or more weeks. Minimum stay three days.
    Keys will be given to you and collected from you by our representative at the apartment. Clients must replace any damaged or broken goods. A deposit of 50 British Pounds (70 Euro) will secure a booking.
    Payment in full is required six weeks prior to departure. Late bookings are accepted.
    Payment does not include end of stay cleaning. 45 Euro will cover this cost payable to the keyholder on arrival.
    A travel cot and high chair are available if required at an extra cost. 18 Euro for a travel cot, 12 Euro for a high chair and 24 Euro for a full size cot.
    The apartment comes equiped with all standard household utensils and bed linen. Guests are expected to bring their own bath and beach towels.
  • As per EU law, it is recommended that holiday makers take out full travel insurance; this is advisable especially against flight cancellations, theft, accidents etc.

Beaches in Torrevieja: Nearly all the beaches in Torrevieja have been awarded the Blue Flags, an endorsement of the cleanliness of the waters and beaches. By the long winding promenade one will find a great selection of ice-cream bars, restaurants and bars. At the Southern end of the 12km strip of beaches, near the apartment there is a large area of sand dunes which have been reclaimed and now support a wonderful boardwalk. According to the WHO the climate in the area is one of the healthiest in the world. This is mainly due to the Salt Lakes in the area, these combined with the surrounding mountainous area creates a climate beneficial to suffers of rheumatism, arthritis and asthma.

Shopping in Torrevieja: Torrevieja town boars an amazing array of small shops located in the heart of the town, there is something for everyone. A special effort must be made to visit the Friday morning market in the centre of Torrevieja. There is a large Carrefour in the area for those who like everything under one roof, this remains open all day. The new Habaneras Shopping Centre opened in March 2005, located beside the Carrefour.

Other Attractions: Torrevieja has become very popular with golf enthusiasts with three supberb eighteen golf courses in easy reach.

Other Activities: Board-walk by the sea, Shopping, water-parks, childrens/adults fair ground, market day on Friday in Torrevieja town.

Holiday apartment La Mata

The apartment,pool area and garden are very good.However the Local area in general does not have an awfull lot going for it.
There are just a couple of pubs with no entertainment in any of them.
We had 3 teenagers with us and found there was nothing for them to do at night (you can only do so much walking).
The local supermarket is a 10 minute walk away and in the heat its a long way to carry shopping!
The beach is also 10 minutes away so if you are going you may go for the day as its a good walk uphill back to the apartment.
PS.Theft from apartments is common in the area,there were 3 different apartments broken into while we were there,including our own so always have the shutters down when unoccupied or in bed at night.

To sum up, Apartment ok.Pool ok Garden area ok.general area of La Mata not so good.

PPS.There are no safekeeping facilities in the apartment or on the complex.

The description is accurate with good customer service from the owner and the key-holder.
We can recommand this apartment (have all-ready did it)
Specielly in La mata we can recommand a little restaurant named, MARTIN, Fritos y Asados, Avda. Inglaterra 55 tlf 96 692 10 44, speciality chicken/pollos is very god and his wines is good and cheap and the service is fine.
At the beach in la mata a pizzarestaurant el italiano, is good. You can walk from the apartment too both.
In torrevieja a little pizzahouse, pizzaria da vinci, plaza de castelar 5 (near the fountain) and a restaurant El Pescador, look at www.restauranteelpescador.es.
