First floor holiday apartment with roof terrace in Dream Hills, Torrevieja. Air con/heating. Furnished to a high standard with everything you need for self-catering. With a private balcony and spacious roof terrace. Set in quiet road with parking space and within 5 minutes walk of local bars, restaurants and shops. Torrevieja town centre, beach and marina are only a short car or bus ride away. The accommodation sleeps 6 with one double and one twin bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge. Large lounge/diner with satellite TV (70 channels), DVD & music system; fully fitted galley kitchen with washing machine, fridge/freezer and electric cooker; bathroom with shower and bidet. Leading from the lounge is a balcony with table and chairs and steps to a private roof terrace with patio table with parasol and chairs and views of the area. The apartment is part of a private community, with two large communal swimming pools; children's pool and play area for residents and guests only.

Torrevieja is located between Alicante and Murcia airports in 'The Elche Area' on the Costa Blanca. It has plenty of activities for families, such as the Water Park or beach. Average daily temperatures of 22C (71F) and over 8 hours of sunshine daily, makes it the most pleasant climate in the world. The area officially has over 340 days of sunshine each year. The salt lakes of Torrevieja are the main reason for this remarkable, dry, micro-healthy climate, which is very beneficial for those who suffer from rheumatism, arthritis, and asthma. With its fabulous, clear 'Blue Flag' beaches, 8 championship golf courses (the nearest at Villa Martin). The Costa Blanca offers endless opportunities to practice water sports, e.g. sailing, surfing & fishing. All beaches in the area have free car parking. The cities of Alicante to the north, Elche to the north west, Murcia to the west and Cartegena to the south are each within one hours drive for sight seeing, shopping and nightlife.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We only require a small non refundable deposit of £50 to secure your booking, with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. We also request a £50 deposit to cover breakages and damages which will be included on your final payment and refunded within 7 days of your return provided there is no damage or breakage. Rates are per week exclusive of a 50 euro cleaning fee which we ask is paid in cash to the key holder upon arrival.

    If required, we can arrange for a grocery pack to be in the apartment for your arrival, which can be especially helpful when arriving on a late flight or on a Sunday. You just need to let us know your requirements and we will advise you of the cost.

    We ask that you respect our wishes and please do not smoke in the apartment.
  • We recognize that flights to / from the UK, particularly on budget airlines, may mean that your flight times are not ideal for 'standard' check-in/out arrangements and we try to be as flexible as we can to accommodate your personal circumstances.

    To enable the apartment to be cleaned and fresh bed linen put onto the beds we would ask that you vacate the apartment by no later than 11am on the day of your departure, whilst on the day or of your arrival you may not be able to access the apartment until 2pm onwards. However if we can be more flexible, rest assured that we will be, and better still there will be no extra charge!

Notes: The private roof terrace has a table and 6 chairs so you can eat out and have a BBQ. There is electric lighting so you can use it after dark and a power point for a radio etc. There is a water tap and hose pipe so children can safely use a paddling pool while you sunbathe. 3 sun loungers are provided. There are two swimming pools for private use of the development. There is also a children's play area within 2 minutes walk. Bedlinen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. General information: There are plenty of banks in Torrevieja with cash machines and most of them seem to have someone who speaks English. Eating out is a pleasure and a bargain from the Spanish seafood restaurants in Torrevieja to the English, German, Swedish, Chinese etc found on the various 'urbanisations' around the town. There are loads of day trips and excursions you can take, why not go inland, where you will probably be the only tourist and will enjoy the peace and tranquility of fantastic forests and mountains. Boat trips go from the marina to the beautiful Isla deTabarca. If you or the kids get bored try the water parks, safari parks, go-carting or local theme parks. For shoppers, there are loads of bargains to be had in the many shops, plus of course the promenade street markets, which are bustling with stalls selling original oil paintings to fantastic Spanish leather wear. The new modern shopping facility 'Habaneras' shopping center has many major shops such as Zara, H & M and C & A.

Golf information: Torrevieja and its surrounding areas play host to three prestigious golf courses, where both national and international championships are held. A total of 54 holes, covering an area of 1,700,000 m² give shape to the Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor golf courses. There are also courses at El Plantio, La Marquesa and Alicante.

Extra information: The price of the holidays do not include the price of the cleaning when you leave; this is because if you are staying for more than one week your holiday would appear to be more expensive if we include it in the price per week. You will pay an additional 50 euros on arrival to cover this.

The apartment was spotless and all the amenities you could wish for. The only thing we felt we could have done with was a car due to the location of the apartment (sea about 45 min walk down hill & nearest large supermarket about 30 min uphill) but unfortunately all hire car companies were on average 200 cars down on stock due to the credit crunch. Many thanks to both Bryan and Pat who were absolutely fabulous in both their kindness and advice. Hope to see you all again. Ralph & Carrol

Owner's Response: We're glad you enjoyed the holiday and do hope to see you again. For those wanting a car, it's possible to hire before you travel (collect at the airport) or can sometimes be arranged in resort (credit crunch permitting). There are plenty of buses (every 30 mins) to the sea front. The cost is 1.15 euros single, and the journey takes only 15 minutes. The bus also goes into the centre of Torrevieja and stops within 5 minutes walk of the lovely marina where you can see boats from all over the world and walk along the esplanade through the open air market. Although the largest supermarket (Consum) is 20 minutes walk, there are smaller supermarkets (many selling English food) within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. We're also happy to arrange any shopping you may require on arrival, to save you rushing out to the shops!

We had a great relaxing holiday!!!

We went to have a nice and relaxing holiday! We rented a car, which is absolutaly nescesarry!! without a car you would have to stay at the community or take a taxi.

The apartment was absolutaly great!!! Especially since it was very cheap we didn't expect too much of it!! When we arrived we were amazed how good everything looked en the apartment had everything you need!! I really enjoyed the roof terrace, we bought a little paddlingpool to cool down.

The area was also nice. It's great if you are looking for a nice and quite holiday with an occasional night out. Torrevieja (the town) is about 10 minutes drive and there are lots of restaurants and beaches. Allthough the beaches were really crowded in the mornings, they became quiter after 2 pm. It wasn't really easy to find a parking space all the time.. You could also use the pool in the community which was also nice. Allthough we found it quite annoying that you weren't allowed to eat anything at the pool area. Only drinks (without alcohol) were allowed.

The aqua park is also worth visiting. It costs 21 euro entrance, but you can have a second day (this must be the next day though) for free.

Once more.. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with lots of days in the sun and a little bit of sight seeing, this would be the ideal place!!
The neighbours (Pat and Brian) are very friendly and welcoming and always willing to give you more information!! Thanks again guys!!!

we had a wonderful holiday at this property and i personally could have stayed on for another week but unfortunately my husband is slightly disabled due to arthritis and as we do not drive we did not get out and about very much, but do not let this put anyone off as the peace and quiet would have been worth double the money we paid, and for anyone with kids there are two swimming pools within easy walking distance, and two minutes from the pool ther are a few eating places where you can get pastas and steaks etc. and lets not forget the pub,
the apartment itself was spotless, and the tv had all the british chanels, so anyone who likes to follow the soaps they can do, there is a washing machine and an iron and ironing board i did all my washing and ironing before i came home and i just hung eveything in the wardrobes it was great. i would take my grandchildren there and they would have a ball at the swimming pools the roof terrace was an added bonus and the locals were so friendly i just cant praise it enough,a short driving distance away were the larger supermarkets ie consume, iceland and torivieja itself was so lovely with there markets and what a beautiful sea front and everyone was so nicewe would not hesitate to go back again if we had means of travelling around

I really enjoyed my holiday in Dream Hills; very relaxing in the warm sunshine, On arrival i was met my Brian and Pat who made me feel very welcome. They were very kind and helpful. The apartment is immaculate, well furnished and feels very cosy. The roof terrace is a real bonus. You can relax in the sun until quite late in the evening and if you want to catch up on all that's happening in the soaps there's satelite t.v. Just a short walk is a small shop, a chinese restaurant and galadriel (cafe bar and bistro) they do a very nice sunday lunch. It's about 5km to Torreveija and the beach. You can catch a bus at a nearby bus stop (timetable guide only) the fare is 1.15euro (single). for convenience it's best to hire a car but you can always take a taxi. Overall the apartment offers good value for money and is a good base for your holiday, where you can do as much or little and you want to.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

A winter break

I decided to stay in this appartment throughout January to have some winter sunshine and escape the snow that had been forecast for Britain. When I arrived at the airport I was met by the key holder as arranged and so experienced a very smooth and relaxing transition to the appartment. The appartment is spacious,clean and with all necessary equipment for self catering. There is also multi channel tevision available along with DVD player and radio, all welcome on winter evenings if you dont want to venture out to the local bars. My holiday was based around cycling in the surrounding countryside which I did on most days. There are plenty of quiet roads and its easily possible to be away from busy traffic as you make your way along the coast, or follow riverside and canal paths inland towards the mountains. There is plenty of information in the appartment about the local area and bus routes etc,also maps and information on car and cycle hire. I discovered that most types of bike are avaiable for hire by the day week or month. The company I used was really helpful and friendly and will come out to you in the event of breakdown or puncture ,if required , at no extra charge.
For anyone who wants a quiet winter break this property and local area is ideal. There are bars and small friendly restaurants within a five minute walk and a supermarket also within walking distance. If you wish to go further afield the bus stops at the end of the road and there are taxis available at the supermarket.

If you visit at the time of year that I went ( January) pack a fleece for the evenings ,and you will sometimes need a coat during the day. On the positive side you will also be sometimes having lunch on the balcony in the sunshine. I enjoyed a peaceful relaxing and healthy holiday.

Owner's Response: Our apartment is available throughout the year. Several people have taken advantage of off-peak holidays to get the winter sun. We have a lower rental charge in the winter and there are cheaper flights. There are plenty of things to do, and cycling/walking in January is much more enjoyable than in the heat of the summer.
