A lovely modern three bedroom apartment ...CLOSE TO THE BEACH
10E la Dama, Avenida Alfreda Nobel ,Playa de los Locos.. CLOSE TO THE BEACH.. with a view across the cliffs out to sea, what a great location!!... A lovely, modern, tastefully furnished apartment looking directly out to sea and close to the beach you see in the photo. It has a lovely sunny breakfast balcony and fully equipped kitchen with microwave, filter coffee maker and all electrical appliances. A good English television package with 30 channels and DVD player. All bed linen and bath towels are included. Less than 15 minutes walk to Torrevieja town centre. Only two minutes walk to Playa de los Locos, one of the loveliest, blue flag beaches in the town. The apartment complex has a completely private pool contained in a central courtyard. Secure door entry. NO CAR NEEDED as there are good bars and restaurants close by and we will collect you from the airport.

The southern end of the Costa Blanca is one of the finest areas for holidaying in Spain. Torrevieja is a bustling town on the coast 40 minutes' drive South of Alicante and its international airport. The water park is a favourite attraction for younger visitors. Torrevieja can also be reached using the new motorway from Murcia airport which has good flight connections from the UK. Playa de los Locos is a beach on the Northern end of Torrevieja on the blue Mediterranean sea. Close by, the village of la Mata offers a touch of real Spain with its Wednesday market & wonderful eating places. La Manga sports complex on the Mar Menor inland sea is a short drive away, passing through many lovely Spanish villages on the way.

| Notes: | This apartment has been equipped to a very high standard and has been tastefully furnished to provide your every comfort. 2 ceiling fans are fitted in the lounge, 1 in each of the bedrooms. Heaters and winter bed linen are provided in the cooler months for your comfort. The kitchen is well equipped with filter coffee maker and juicer to enable you to enjoy the cheap local oranges with your breakfast. Have breakfast on the sunny balcony that looks directly out to sea. A Welcome Pack of all basics can be organised if required. Along with good local restaurants and bars all just a short walk along the promenade, there are many interesting and fun areas well worth a visit. The new theme park Terra Mitica is about an hour away, and the nearest water park is only 15 minutes drive. This is a great apartment to enjoy a holiday on the beach. |
Local area information
The la Dama apartment building directly overlooks the beautiful blue Mediterranean sea. The apartment block has its own secure door entry system, communal pool area for residents & guests only. Outside are numerous bars, pubs, restaurants on the sea front. A couple of small supermarkets are also walking distance with larger hypermarkets 10 minutes drive away. The water park in Torrevieja is a favourite attraction for families & younger visitors. There are several Go-Kart tracks in the area, which are excellent fun & entertainment for all ages. Costa Blanca
The 'white coast' is famous for its wonderful climate, all year round. Even the Spanish claim that local inhabitants live up to 10 years longer than in the rest of Spain! It is named after the wonderful almond blossom that is the first of the year and is a beautiful sight in January through to March. Facilities have improved dramatically in the last few years, particularly with the addition of motorway routes directly into the area & the growth of excellent, all-year round, golf clubs. Anyone who is looking to buy a property in the area should let me know at time of booking as I can arrange for an inspection of properties (new or resale) during your stay, through an English speaking local company, at no extra cost!
Information for golfers
Close by is the Villamartin Championship Golf Course, which has an abundance of olive trees and well placed bunkers to make it a challenging course for players of all abilities. If that was not enough to tempt the golfers, within 5 mins drive there are two more! Las Ramblas which is a stunning, but short course and is most challenging. High trees, natural fairways and ravines feature strongly in this memorable course. Finally we have Campoamor, which is situated, in two valleys with magnificent views and with a beautiful clubhouse to finish off the day! Important to note is that a handicap is not required to play these local corses. For the hard to please a 30 min drive further south will bring you to La Manga the world famous golf resort with three 18-hole courses to choose from. It is important to bring your handicap card (just in case)as well as plenty of sunscreen. What more can the enthusiastic golfer ask for!

Well-equipped but very poorly described apartment

This property is in Torrevieja. The property does have an excellent swimming pool and the apartment is mostly as described in the particulars. The apartment was well-equipped and there was ample space for three adults and two children.
However, there are two main criticisms that we have of this apartment and our stay.
First, the description states that the apartment is 'right on the beach you see in the photo'. In fact, the apartment is alongside a very busy main road and adjacent to an area of scrubland (the so-called beach in the photo). There is no 'beach' directly adjacent to the apartment, but rather a series of cliffs leading to the sea. Overall, the description is not helpful and is contradictory in some places.
Second, potential guests should be aware of the following:
1. There is a very busy main road outside, making conversation on the balcony very difficult;
2. The view from this balcony looks out to an advertising hoarding;
3. The apartment was not in a good state of cleanliness overall on arrival, with sweet wrappers still on the floor in one bedroom, a dirty patio door, cobwebs and an un-emptied bin in the bathroom.
As a conclusion, this apartment was a disappointment because of the way in which the description was written. It is very loud at night and on a busy road, with no 'beach' directly adjacent as suggested.

This front line apartment has rented successfully for 5 years & has satisfied every set of guests. Most have rated it as 4/5 at least.The pictured Blue Flag beach is 100m.away & is incredibly popular with tourists & locals alike. The balcony overlooks the blue Mediterranean Sea. Access to the apartment is via the single carriageway in front of the block. Spain is a vibrant place in July & August. Come & enjoy winter sun if you want peace & quiet.
