'Sukasa' - modern (2005) No Smoking house close to sea/town

'Sukasa' overlooking the superb large communal pool, has individual air conditioning units in the lounge and both bedrooms, was newly built in 2005. It has UK satellite TV, DVD and CD players and private parking. Conveniently located in the new and stylish Altos de la Bahia area which is midway between Torrevieja and La Mata, this house is light, modern and offers a great holiday base. La Mata's beautiful sandy beach is within walking distance and we offer guests, who don't wish to drive, airport pick-ups and day trips to local attractions or shopping. Only 800m from the sea, 'Sukasa' has a rooftop sun-terrace, as well as a large balustrade private patio area which catches the sun all day and is planted out with Orange, Lemon and Bougainvillea. The patio is peaceful but is also secure with lockable gates allowing children to play safely. The closest shops and restaurants are within 100m of Sukasa while buses to the centre of Torrevieja (1.5km) can be caught nearby.

Notes to the rental rates

  • SPECIAL OFFER - BOOK A 3 WEEK HOLIDAY AND A FOURTH WEEK WILL BE ADDED ABSOLUTELY FREE.
    Rental rates are based on 4 guests per booking and linen will be provided for up to 4 people unless advised of additional people in advance of guests arriving.
    For larger groups which include a 5th and/or 6th person please add £20 per week for each additional person to cover additional cleaning and laundry costs.
    For insurance reasons and safety reasons Guests who over-occupy will be asked to vacate or by on-site Management Agent.
    A £50 non-refundable deposit is payable when booking is accepted.
  • Cleaning and use of air conditioning is included in the price, guests are asked to use considerately to help keep rental charges low.
    Towels are for use in property only, please do not use at pool or beach.
    Guests staying for 2 weeks will have their linen changed at the mid-point of their stay.
    A small additional cost is made to those guests staying less than a week to cover full week cleaning and laundry charges

'Sukasa' - Something for Everyone

There is something for everyone here at all times of the year! The house is fully air-conditioned with individual systems to each bedroom and the living/dining area which can also be used to provide heating. It is maintained to a high standard by on-site management and is well equipped inside and out. The off-street parking is a distinct advantage and the large enclosed patio with lockable gates gives children enough room to play while parents can relax knowing that the kids won't wander off! Good quality and reasonably priced bars, restaurants and supermarkets are all within a 5 minute walk. An on-line brochure can be emailed to you with more details if required.

Torrevieja

Torrevieja's micro-climate offers sunshine nearly every day of the year. Fabulous beaches surround Torrevieja, La Mata Beach, being the longest and generally regarded as the best, is only 800m from 'Sukasa' and offers approximately 5km of unbroken golden sandy beach with Blue Flag status. Torrevieja has hundreds of shops where everything from locally produced wines and leather goods can be found to international designer labels. The surrounding towns and villages have their own market days but Torrevieja has its own street market on Fridays and an every-day market on the sea front promenade from early summer. If you still haven't found what you are looking for, there is a Carrefour Supermarket on the outskirts of town. Fiesta's are colourful and regular in Torrevieja often taking over the Town Centre and Promenade. The Park of Nations is a green, lush haven right in the middle of town. It has a Pets Corner and in the early evening has model railway rides and boats for hire.

The Surrounding Area

The Southern Costa Blanca has a character and charm all of its own. There are at least half a dozen great golf courses within a 15 minute drive of Torrevieja, the closest being Villamartin, only about 5 miles from 'Sukasa'. Fishing, tennis, horse riding, mountain biking and diving are all available locally while there are many interesting walks and nature trails very close at hand. If you have a car and care to tour the area, then you are spoilt for choice: Alicante is a thriving cosmopolitan city with all that goes with it but has the added benefit of being right on the coast and skilfully blends big city action while remaining a popular Mediterranean Resort. Cartagena is a bustling town but remains pretty and a drink at one of the bars surrounding the Marina in the middle of the day can be very welcome. The Region of Murcia offers traditional Spanish towns, traditions and architecture, the Cathedral in Murcia city itself is particularly impressive.

Golf Information:

Golf Details: Three local 18-hole golf courses are within a 10 minute drive of 'Sukasa' and no handicap is required at any of them. Clubs and electric buggies can be hired and all have putting, chipping and practice areas as well as restaurant/clubhouse facilities. The 'Villamartin Championship Golf Course' is manageable for players of all abilities but still challenging due to well placed bunkers and many Olive trees. Hole number 14, a 425 metre par 5, is ranked most difficult. 'Las Ramblas' is a short course but very challenging due to natural fairways, ravines and tall mature trees, the views at the 9th hole make it hard to keep your mind on the teeshot over the lake. 'Campoamar' straddles two valleys and the back 9 holes are a real challenge due the steep slopes of the surrounding hills. Slightly further afield, a 30 minute drive will take you to either 'Altorreal' (near Murcia city) or La Manga's 3 brilliant 18-hole courses where you will need your handicap certificate. Phone numbers for courses can be provided. We have negotiated great low rates with an English taxi company so as well as picking you up from the airport we can take you to any of these courses so you don't need a car (or even your clubs) to have a great golfing holiday at 'Sukasa'. Even if you do hire a car it's sometimes good to use our transport so that you can enjoy that post-round drink with a meal in the restaurant or clubhouse with no worries about who's driving home afterwards.
