Well equipped spacious new house with all modern facilities including washing machine, dishwasher, satellite TV with UK channels in lounge and second bedroom, Xbox with games. The house is air-conditioned throughout. Sun terrace on the roof with loungers. The property is situated in a quiet cul de sac with private pool for immediate residents only. The local beach is a gentle 5 minute stroll through the Spanish National Forest. The town of Guardamar is a 5 minute drive away where there are several more beaches and many excellent bars and restaurants. The house is situated in a Spanish area with very little touristy bustle. It makes an excellent location for those wanting a quiet, relaxing break. The local hypermarket - a 5 minute drive away - stocks everything from fresh fish to furniture, clothes and has numerous restaurants on the complex. Contacts are available to assist with airport pick up or cars can be easily hired from either Alicante or Murcia Airports.

Location: Guardamar in Spain

Nearest Airport: Alicante or Murcia at 30 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 200 Metres
Car: recommended
The house is approximately a 20 -30 minute drive from both Alicante and Murcia airports which are serviced by many budget airlines. The local beach is a gentle 5 minute stroll away. Further beaches are located a 5 minute drive away in Guardamar. All beaches in this area are sandy. La Mata town with beaches is a 5 minute drive away or 30min walk (2.5km), or by cycle 10 minutes. There is a lively weekly market each Wednesday selling lots of different local products and produce. There is a wonderful Nature reserve here, ideal for a shady picnic with superb picnic tables and wooded walks, also lookout towers. Traffic is prohibited so ideal for young children.

Visited this property twice and enjoyed both holidays. Basic furniture but quite adequate, very clean and very helpful site rep. Wonderful location convenient for everything. Exceptional value for money. I am hoping to return later this year.

Perfect get away for couple or small family

Pulling up to the house from the private road you are met by the caretaker of this property who guides you through all of the necessary information you need for your stay, no concern about calling him out if necessary as he is an open and friendly guy to whom it appears, nothing is too much bother.

The house itself is a compact 2 bedroom home which has all of the necessary mod cons for a holiday or longer term rental in the property. It is decorated to a high standard with good quality furniture which you can easily make yourself feel at home in.

Upon arrival we had a welcome pack from the owners which really helped after 5 hours in airports and car rental places!

The owners have (quite usefully) started a note book with suggestions and notes on local restaurants, bars and activities in the area (we found so helpful as it was our first stay in the area) and a large number of maps were on hand too!

The area is great for cycling, walking or driving in and with shops and restaurants not far it is in a great location. The beach, just a 2 minute walk from the house, is fantastic... Not over crowded or spoilt in any way but has the facility of a small (quiet) snack bar and a few rental bed chairs. We noticed more locals use it than tourists which appeals to many but if that is not your cup of tea there are a 2 tourist beaches 10 minutes in either direction.

We had a great time staying here, sitting out in the garden of an evening most nights with a glass of wine letting the world pass us by.

There is nothing that this property and its location lacks for a home away from home.

Our only disappointment with this property is that it is booked for the time we have off work in 2009!!!

This was our first time to stay in this property,the layout and location was good and had everything that you required ,it was lovely and clean but we found it very cold and felt damp,the toilet down stairs smelt damp ,the front bedroom felt damp also the bed ,the wall in the wardrobe was black and the sofa and chairs in the lounge were very uncomfortable,therefore i would not recommend this property and im afraid i would not book it again for this reason.
Owner's Response: Please note we have an agent on site who would have been able to sort any issues out promptly had he been asked. No contact was made to either us to to him during this stay which is very disappointing as it gave us no opportunity to resolve. The house has heaters in each room so these guests should not have been cold. A watre leak has subsequently been detected and resolved - but could have been done so much quicker with better communication.
