Horse-riding, bowls, fishing, scuba diving and a Water Park are all available locally. For wildlife and bird watching enthusiasts there is a nearby nature reserve. The house is easily accessible from both Murcia and Alicante airports, journey time no more than 40 minutes

Attractions

Apart from the many water and theme parks within driving distance,there is a large water park on Quesada. You also have the opportunity to enjoy something of Spain's culture, with Murcia, Cartagena, Elche, Orihuela and Alicante itself all within an hour drive. Kids of all ages will enjoy Terra Mitica outside Benidorm (an hour and a quarter on the motorway), which is Costa Blanca's answer to Disney. Shopping is excellent, with leather goods and jewellery very popular.

Region & Climate

The Costa Blanca 'White Coast' is situated between the two other well known areas of Costa Brava to the north and Costa del Sol to the south. This coast, protected by the Crevillente mountains to the west and with the warm Meditteraneean sea on its eastern shores has an excellent winter climate. According to the World Health Organisation this is the healthiest place to live! Average daytime temperatures vary from 17C in February & December to 32C in August and September

Golf Information:

There are 4 main golf courses in the area. The house overlooks the 5th fairway of the La Marquessa golf course and is a short stroll to the club house and first tee. Villa Martin, La Finca, Las Ramblos & Campoamar are all of international standard. Green fees range from £30 to £50 depending on the time of day/year, discounts operate with several agents, details on request. The villa ideally sleeps 5, but help can be given with larger parties with other properties nearby. Because of the climate and the long evenings the area is ideal for golf enthusiasts of all standards.
