La Mata and nearest city Torrevieja is about 30km south of Alicante on the Costa Blanca, which has fine sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Torrevieja is a typical Spanish city with markets, cafes, bars and restaurants. Three golf courses and an Aqua Park are close by.
