This home is on a very friendly quiet estate on the edge of Toerrevieja at Punta Prima (Los Altos). This is still a Spanish town with very few high rise hotels. There is a supermarket within 5 minutes walk. There are numerous small beaches within 10 minutes drive of the home, which cater for all tastes. There are many excellent walks in the mountains or nature reserve near to the home. The home is located centrally for 4 championship standard golf courses. The home would suit both a couple who want a holiday away from the stresses of modern life or a family seeking a central base for an excellent holiday in the sun. The home is fully furnished to a high standard, (beach towels, cool box etc. at no extra cost), Satellite TV, with air conditioning in the bedrooms. The communal pool is large and close by, and there is ample parking. The home is between the 2 major airports of Alicante and Murcia. This is a quiet estate with a mix of properties for rental and retired people living there all year round. It is very friendly and all my guests have been impressed with the help they have received from my neighbours. The home is close to several beaches and Torrevieja town itself. There are about 20 odd restaurants and cafes with cuisine from around the world within 15 minutes walk - ideal if you like a drink and do not want to drive! Further a field there are mud baths, hot springs, fantastic mountain walks and various children activities e.g. Go Karting, Theme Park etc. There is a children's play area on the estate with basketball courts and football available. There is literally a supermarket within 5 minutes walk from the home. It has everything that you will need for self catering.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices above are all inclusive of cleaning and air conditioning costs.A welcome pack on arrival of basics such as tea, coffee, bread, milk is available upon request for a small payment. The home is managed locally by an English couple living opposite from whom the keys are collected on arrival. This also means that help/local knowledge is always on hand.
  • There is a discount for long term rentals over 3 weeks which can be negotiated on an individual basis.
    Payments can be made by cheque (sterling) or directly into my bank account which will be supplied once the booking is made. I am also happy to use Pay Pal
    Airport transfers can be arranged at very reasonable rates with my keyholders.
  • A 50 pound non refundable deposit is payable on booking with all final monies payable 4 weeks before your holiday commences.
    A €100 security deposit is required on arrival. this is payable to my key holders who will return the monies to you on departure provided the home has been left in good order.

  • The home has 2 bathrooms. The one on the first floor is fully tiled with all bathroom linen provided, along with beach towels. Downstairs there is a separate toilet off the main lounge. Then there is a walk in shower with its own independent hot water supply.

The front bedroom opens on to a balcony which faces the setting sun. In the lounge there is a very comfortable sofa bed with linen provided which easily sleeps 2 adults.

Notes: The home is fully equipped for self catering with an extensive range of crockery - for up to 8 people - and an extensive range of utensils. There is a fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, iron and ironing board, cool box for the beach. The kitchen is fully tiled and very practical. There is a washing line on the solarium. Linen includes a bath towel, hand towel and beach towel for up to 6 guests. The upper solarium has sea views both ways and faces both the morning and afternoon sun - the perfect place for secluded sun bathing. The front garden is fully tiled which is perfect for a BBQ and watching the 'world' go by as neighbours always stop and chat and for enjoying a meal in the late evening sun. The front terrace has been glazed in and there are 2 rocking chairs which makes it perfect in the cooler months to enjoy the sun and read a good book.

Local Amenities - what to do: The home is centrally located so nothing is more than 15 minutes drive away. The beaches range from the long wide ones just north of Torrevieja to the many small and large coves near the home. In summer most beaches have lifeguards and First Aid, several offer water sports. There are also reputed to be nudist beaches near by. Torrevieja boasts a 10 pin bowling alley, cinema and water park. However at Benidorm- 90 minutes away- there is a really good theme park - Terra Mitica. There are many other activities to try out e.g. a local Go Karting track; scuba diving; hot air ballooning. I have left a folder in the home with leaflets from as many places as I can but my keyholders are always there to help out The Emerald Isle is a complex with a great swimming pool and non membership bowling rink There are many local markets, the best being on a Friday in Torrevieja. There are other places to explore a short drive away. Above all get out, explore and enjoy.

Local Amenities 2 - Food & Golf: Torrevieja is a great place to eat especially in the evenings on the sea front where you can watch the 'town' go by along the promenade. In the commercial centre there are several 'fast food' facilities and a more 'cafe' culture. Closer to the home there are many restaurants from the large Pagado of the Chinese to my favourite the Nautilus -right on the sea's edge. The range is world wide and it need not cost the earth as rates are very reasonable. The golfing is literally world class and there are 4 championship standard courses within 15 minutes of the home. Details of these can be found on my website. I am no golfer so I cannot do them justice by trying to describe them but their websites can.

The home was as discribed,with everything 1 needs for perfect stay,I recommend it to anyone.The house was spotless,with all mod cons.Several bars within walking distance also restaurants ( Captains table well worth a visit english sun lunch 6 euros ),,i hired a car and had access to several beeches all within 5 to 15 mins drive ,,(nearest one is about 15mins walk),
Owner had binder with information to everything happening in area and coast ..i.e...golf,beeches,restaurants,,etc
1 other place worth a day out is Santa Barbara Castle,Alacianta,,outstanding..Owner very helpfull in every way..Thanks

wonderful home very affordable price!

Very pleased with this home. It was exactly as the owner had described. Very comfortable and lacking nothing. There were numerous towels - bathroom and beach - as well as loads of bedding. The kitchen had everything you could need - loads of dishes and pots and pans! As well the entire home was very well kept and clean and tidy.

The keyholder met us at the home and showed us around and passed on all the keys. Very easygoing and willing to answer any questions we may have had.

There is a supermarket a 5 minute walk away - as well there are appx 5 others all within a 5 minute drive. The beach nearest to the home is so-so. But a 5 minute drive away there are 4 that we went to quite frequently that are beautiful.

Altho you could stay here quite easily without a car, I was very glad that we had one so that we could get to all amenties and not be limited.

The owner has compiled a couple of binders with restaurant menus and attractions. Loads of good info here - very helpful!

Places not to miss: Cartagena, Alicante - make sure to go to Castillo de Santa Barbara, La Manga, Terra Mitica, Orihuela.... not to mention the numerous markets - there is a list in one of the binders the days of all the markets.

While the many restaurants are good - it does get pricey so we ate in quite a bit. There is a charcole bbq at the front of the place that we used many, many times - very convenient!

All in all I would 100% recommend this home to anyone - and if our family returns to Spain there is no doubt that we would stay in this lovely home again.

The accomodation was excellent. I would recommend this property to all my family and friends We went with my 83yr old mother and she enjoyed the holiday.. The Captains Table serve a lovely Sunday lunch 3 courses 9 euro. We hired a car for the two weeks we were there so had time to explore, We would have no hesitation in booking again.

A lovely property close to everything one could wish for on a holiday. The property is as described and is probably the best kitted out we've rented. (Even down to beach towels). The property was very clean and ready for our arrival.
We stayed for 3 weeks in September 2008 and loved every moment! We have even booked again for March 2009, now that should tell you how much we enjoyed the whole holiday and the value for money. Lovely pool located just around the corner. Go on, book this lovely property you'll not be disappointed!
You must go to the Captains Table and have fish and chips! Try the Chinese at Via Park 3 and 5, serious value for money.

The accomodation was as described, we found everything we needed. Restaurants and bars were only a short walk away,Libertys was excellent. The children enjoyed the 15 mins walk down to the beach and we found there was always plenty of space.We have reccommended the propety to friends and family. We also found the couple looking after the property very friendly and helpful.
