There are many restaurants and bars in the local area. A short walk away is a complex with local shops, bars and restaurants, and a mini-market. Among the restaurants are a very good chinese, fish and chip shop, steak house and family run brasserie. Another complex is a further short walk away with more bars, shops and restaurants and nightly entertainment. A well stocked supermarket can be reached within 2 minutes drive for all your self catering needs. Out and About:
Whether you just want to laze in the sun and relax or explore the local area, there are lots of thing to do in the Torrevieja area including:
Go Karting, 2 Water Parks, Nature Reserve, Museums, Safari Park, Boat Trips, Theme Park, Golf, Cinema and Bowling.
For children, The Ozone Leisure Complex has water parks, a cinema, bowling alley and arcades to keep them happy and the Park of Nations in Torrevieja has a very good playground for smaller children. One of the largest water parks in Southern Spain, The Aquaopolis is also in Torrevieja along with many bars, shops and restaurants along the beautiful beach front. The Habineras Centre is ideal for all kinds of shopping from boutiques, bookshops, linens and with a the Carrefour hypermarket next door, offers everything you could need, even a MacDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken!
Further afield, you are within 1 hours drive from the historic cities of Elche, Mucia and Cartegena. Alicante and Benidorm can also be visited in a day.
Beaches:
There are many beautiful sandy beaches along the Costa Blanca. All the main beaches are blue flag to meet EU standards and you will find pedalos, jet skis and all the usual water sports. Many have beach bars or cafes where you can buy ice creams, drinks and snacks and you can also hire sun loungers if needed. Because of the very hot micro-climate in this area, you will find people swimming and sunbathing during November and December.
We have supplied a cool box for picnics and small sun chairs for the beach which we are happy for you to use and return. Please bring your own towels for the pool and/or beach visits.
Golf:
Southern Spain has some of the best golf courses in Europe and there are 3 championship courses in the local area, all within a 5-10 minute drive from the villa. Details of the golf courses are found in our information folder at the villa.
