Golf:
The villa is situated above the La Marquesa golf course and so is ideal for golfing enthusiasts. Green fees are around £25. Also within 15 mins drive are the superb golf courses of Las Ramblas, Villamartin, La Finca and Campoamor that can challenge all standards of golfers. The long evenings and sunny climate are ideal for golfers.
Attractions:
Bowling, golf and aqua park in Quesada. Guardamar's long sandy beaches 10 mins away. Numerous street markets in the local and nearby towns. Funfairs, go-karting, museums, churches, ports, beach promenades and salt lakes in nearby locations. Terra Mitica theme park in Benidorm about 1.5 hours away. Soak up some Spanish culture in the historic cities of Murcia, Elche, Cartegena and Alicante, or visit the luxurious resort of La Manga on the Mar Menor (inland sea), just 30 mins away with golf, tennis, swimming and the Hyatt Regency hotel.
Region and Climate:
The Costa Blanca has perhaps the finest climate of any part of Spain. Boasting 320 sunny days each year. In summer the temperatures reach in excess of 30 degrees Centigrade and in winter rarely drops below 10 degrees Centigrade.
The area is fertile, growing oranges, lemons, grapes , olives and almonds. The nearby salt lakes are said to have healing properties.
Golf:
Las Ramblas - Located between 2 ravines, this course requires great precision as fairways and greens are both narrow and demanding.
Campoamor - The layout of this course has been adapted both to the professional and the amateur. Fairways are wide and long but the greens and the inclination of the fairways are a big challenge.
Villamartin - Excellent design which gives variety to every hole. Of note are the fast greens.
