Bars, Restaurants & Amenities:
Quesada (short walk), is a well developed urbanization whose local amenities include banks, bowling club, supermarkets, beauty salon, boutiques, national health doctor, private clinic, pharmacy, newsagents & plenty of bars/ restaurants (English, Spanish, Indian, Italian, German).
Good bus service to all local towns & markets as well as to the beaches in the summer. Eating out is varied & inexpensive. Amongst the many amenities is an Aqua Park & a Golf course. Also approx 30 minute stroll takes you into the local market town of Rojales offering traditional bars & restaurants and a large supermarket. A few local shops can be reached within a ten minute walk.
Many towns along the Costa Blanca have shopping malls with international brand names such as Zara & Mango. The town of Elche (Europe’s largest palm forests) , a few miles away, is home to Spain’s largest shoe industry offered at factory prices! Few people can resist a visit to the Salvador Artesana Shoe Factory Outlet at Elche.
Beaches:
The nearest beach is only 10 minutes drive away at Guardamar, which boasts a fine 12 mile stretch of unspoilt sands. The wonderful beaches have obtained the blue flag and are perfect for sunbathers and children alike. There are many seafront bars 5 minutes from the beach. Nearby, there are the nature reserves for a quiet and peaceful stroll out of the sun. There is also an evening street market and funfair in Guardamar. Santa Pola, and La Marina (10-15 minute drive) also contain excellent beaches, with Santa Pola containing the liveliest.

For golf lovers, the closest course is La Marquesa, situated at Rojales, about 10 minutes walk away from the villa. The 18 hole golf course is built into the valley in a dramatic landscape setting. The La Marquesa Golf and Country Club hotel also offers 10-pin bowling, live entertainment and tennis. Las Ramblas, and Villa Martin, a championship golf course, are within a 20 minute drive. The famous golf courses at La Manga are approx 30 minutes drive. The climate is one of the best in Spain, with average temperatures of 15°C in winter and 25°C in summer. There are many fascinating places to visit and many age-old crafts still continue to flourish as well as the wonderful traditional cuisine. For water sports, tennis and golf, the Costa Blanca takes some beating!
