Bowls:
We have 2 ground floor apartments next to the all-weather, year round Bowling Club of San Miguel. The club is open to both bowlers and beginners. Rinks and equipment can be hired and the club welcomes everyone especially on their 'chummy days'. San Miguel hosted the 2002 Spanish National Bowling Championship and there is a splendid terrace, bar and restaurant overlooking the rinks. The 'Cheers Bar' which overlooks the bowling green has entertainment on most nights and English is the predominant language. Many other restaurants and bars are within a short stroll and if you wish to go further afield we can help you with reasonable priced car hire.
There are facilities to go on QUAD Bike packages close by and HORSE riding facilities 100 yards away. Ther are wonderful Golf Course close by and as our apartments have utility rooms there is plenty of space to store golf clubs.
Golf/Riding/Fishing/Tennis:
Villamartin and its surroundings are a paradise for golfers. Close to the apartments are the Villamartin Golf Club SSS: 72
Las Ramblas Golf Club SSS: 71 Campamor Golf Club SSS: 73
The standard of these courses is proven by frequent visits by the king of Spain. They are all championship length and are less crowded than the ones on the Costa del Sol. Villamartin Golf Course is a 5 minute walk from the apartments where there are facilities to play tennis and swim. There are riding stables adjacent to the apartments. There are marinas in Torevieja where day fishing or boating trips can be booked if you wish.
Attractions:
There are three main beaches all within 5 minute drive of Villamartin, Campoamor beach, La Zenia beach and Cabo Roig beach. There are plenty of other beaches to choose from along the coast. Besides golf and the beaches there is the the famous open air market held in Torrevieja, the nearby town, every Friday. You'll need plenty of time to see it all as it''s huge and sells all types of food, spices, clothing, textiles and plenty more besides.
Torrevieja has an abundance of good restaurants and bars providing lively nightlife and there is an evening street market every night. For the KIDS there are many theme parks. Pola Park where you can enjoy the rides. Mundomar is a Marine and Exotic Animal Park. Terra Mitica is an Amusements Park with rides and a Roller Coaster. Torrevieja also has a small Fair.
