Officially known as The Cultural Capital of the Valencia Region, the picturesque village of Altea is located just north of Alicante. Situated on the Mediterranean coastline ,Altea has the best restaurants and shops in the province. The medieval charm of the Old Town with its blue domed church white washed houses & narrow winding streets seems little changed since the 16th century. A myriad of good restaurants are to be found among the ancient walkways where you can enjoy an evening meal & good wine on a rooftop terrace with the scent of jasmine hanging heavy in the air. For the more energetic Altea offers a wealth of activities including golf, sailing, Terra Mitica & Natura theme parks. Mundomar & Aqualandia water parks so ther is always lots to do. There are at least 8 super restaurants in easy walking distance of the apt, 3 of which are on the beach. Altea has 7 km of safe unspoilt beaches on which you can top up your tan whilst you laze around heaven all day.

Moors and Christians celebration in Altea from the 24th September 2007 is a superb spectical a seat at the prossesion will cost approx 5 euros and last all the evening, it is a week long fiesta, the work which goes into it is amazing
