An eighth-floor apartment (which is just visible at the top of the photo) overlooking the pool area and close to the beach and promenade with splendid views to the sea, the Penon Rock and surrounding mountains. The accommodation comprises 2 double bedrooms (one with double bed, en-suite toilet/shower, one with twin beds), separate bathroom (bath, shower, toilet, bidet, etc), large lounge/dining room with two sofas (1 extensible), fully equipped kitchen (gas hob, electric oven, microwave fridge/freezer), 26m2 terrace, enclosed garage. Internet ADSL, Washing machine, TV, HI-FI, video, DVD, hair drier, etc also provided. Air conditioned and heating in the bedrooms and the living room. A welcome pack with water, wine, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread is also provided. A very large and attractive recreation area complete with 3 large pools, showers, etc are available for the exclusive use of the residents. A receptionist mans the ground floor entrance on a 24/7 basis.

Calpe is on the very popular Costa Blanca, ten miles north of Benidorm but is much quieter than Benidorm. It's shallow, sandy beaches (blue flag) are safe and the calm, warm waters are great for children. Calpe itself has a very good range of excellent shops and supermarkets. Every Saturday it has a street market which winds up through the streets of the old town. The old town itself has many very good bars and restaurants which cater for a wide range of tastes from gourmet to fast foods and take-aways and all at very reasonable prices. The apartment overlooks the 3 pools and recreational area which serve the block and the main balcony has sun all afternoon and evening (there's also a small balcony off the kitchen which gets the morning sun). Just over the road is the promenade which runs all the way to the marina and port area and on into the centre of Calpe town itself. The promenade, which is a pedestrian area, also has many good quality bars and restaurants opened all year round.

Notes: Accommodation details: 142m (we have measured it!) from the Levante (or La Fossa) beach. Access to the 2-block complex is via an impressive entrance hall which is manned by a receptionist 24/7. There are 2 lifts serving the block housing this particular apartment. The kitchen is fully tiled with granite worktops, electric oven and grill, 4-ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine, automatic washing machine, etc. The large balcony area has a table, 6 chairs and a sofa to allow al-fresco dining whilst enjoying views to the sea, surrounding mountains and the nearby salt lake with its pink flamingo population. The balcony also overlooks the 3 pools. The lounge/diner is large enough to cope with 6 people and the dining table extends to easily accommodate 6. There's a HI-FI system (radio/tape/CD), cable TV, DVD and video players. The apartment is centrally air-conditioned (hot+cold) so is comfortable in both winter and summer. Valencia (Spain) F1 Grand Prix: The apartment is located 120km from the Valencia F1 circuit where the European Grand Prix takes place from the 21st to the 23rd August 2009 (provisional calendar).

Languages spoken: We can quickly reply, by email, fax or phone, in English, French and Spanish (Castellano). We can reply, with some delays, to emails and faxes written in German, Dutch, Portuguese and Italian. We will do out better to reply to all other languages.

Beach,key,fresh bed linen & supplementary cleaning: The La Fossa beach has received the Blue Flag award. Fresh bed linen and towels will be provided for you at your arrival and every week for stays longer than a week. absolutly lovely, well air-conditioned which is great as it can get HOT in calpe, situated so close to the beach! and the three pools were lovely, i loved every minute of my stay and definatley will return in the future.

Zesweken , 18 april/30 mei, gebruikt gemaakt van dit apartement. Het heeft ons in deze weken aan niets ontbroken. Geweldig. Ook bij problemen werden deze direct opgelost. Het openbaar vervoer is prima geregeld.

superb apartment

The apartment was superb we could not fault it at all. It was clean, well maintained and beautifully furnished. The reception, maintenance and pool staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

The garage was very handy too, it was just down the ramp immediately in front of you as you enter through the gates. The gates to the complex open from the car by pressing the remote ( no need to get out of the car). The lift is called from the garage level by inserting the key into the call button, and from the apartment you have to use the key again to go down to the garage level.

If we are coming back to Calpe we will definitely check with you first.

Really nice appartment

The appartment was really nice and clean and felt as newly
built. So far it is the best appartment we have rented.

We spent a week in November in Calpe and the weather
was really nice, just sun shine. The surrounding villages
were nice to visit. The last day we found a really beautiful
walk along the coast. It starts at the end of the street.

Nice apartment, excellent location

A very nice flat in an excellent resort for families with small children. As described, the flat is in an excellent location, being only a 2 min walk from the beach, and has 3 large pools, including one for kids, for days when a 2 min walk seems like hard work. A special word of praise is due for the owner, who was extremely helpful and very honest.

The only possible issue I would highlight is that the double bed in the parent's room is on the small side, so if one or both adults is bigger than average, its a bit of a tight squeeze. There are two fold down beds in the living room though, so its not too bad really.

I've measured the bed and it's 2.01m long. I have myself 1.82m and the bed is big enough for my spouse and myself.
