Shopping.

Denia has a classy tree-lined boulevard with cafes, restaurants and is the place to buy designer wear. The best selection of Spanish classic leather shoes can be bought here. There are also popular markets where many a bargain can be found. Large supermarket chains have become more prominent in recent years, 'Mercadona', the popular Spanish food outlet is still the Costa Blanca's main supermarket.

Scenic Routes.

From Alicante, south of the coast, to Denia in the North, there is a narrow gauge railway line called 'El Trenet', which is the best form of transport to view the area's magnificent scenery. Starting at Denia where the oranges and lemons are prolific from November until February, the train meanders through colourful groves, where you can view the fruit picking and packing.
