Javea is overlooked by Mount Montgo and has a relaxing and typically Spanish atmosphere, the Javea area of the Costa Blanca is best known for its unspoiled beauty and excellent 'Blue Flag' beaches. Javea itself is split into three main areas. The 'Arenal' where the apartment is situated offers beautiful white sandy beaches, a promenade of shops, bars and restaurants with a small fair for the children in the Summer months with rides, trampolining and go-karts. The port is a traditional fishing port with a large Marina, intimate cobbled streets, a brightly lit promenade of restaurants and bars and clean pebbled beaches. The Historic town with its white house fronts and cobbled streets is a typical 'Spanish' town relatively unspoilt with a quiet and relaxing ambience. The spectacular fiestas of Javea begin in June and continue through the summer months.

Nearby areas of Interest and Tourist attractions
Javea is less than one hours drive by car from Benidorm, which has many attractions for all ages, including 'Mundomar' an animal water park, 'Aqualandia' a theme swimming park and 'Terra Mitica' a large fun park, boasting some of the largest rides in Europe. The beautiful historic village of Guadalest set in the mountains is a place not to be missed by the visitor along with the 'Waterfalls of Algar', other nearby towns include Moraira, with spectacular coastlines and varied entertainment, Denia with its large port offering daily trips to the Baleric Islands, Calpe with its legendary 'Calpe Rock' jutting out of the sea, Benissa and Teulada.
Nearby Golf Courses
The apartment is ideally situated for those guests who enjoy a relaxing round of golf. Javea has its own Club de Golf Javea with 9 holes and there is also Club de Golf Ifach Moraira again with 9 holes. Further away there is Club de Golf La Sella in Denia with 18 holes and the famous Seve Ballesteros Club de Golf Oliva again with 18 holes.
Getting around
Although it is possible to get to the beach, supermarket and restaurants without a car, it is strongly recommended for getting around in Spain and the owners can assist you with car hire. We recommend Javea Cars whose details can be found on their web site, please contact us for the address.
Golf Information:
Club de Golf La Sella is close to the village of Jesus Pobre on the road between Javea and Denia. Opened in 1991 it is an 18 hole, par 72 course of 6,595 yards. José Maria Olazábal advised on the course’s design and has produced a demanding layout. Set within a valley, it is almost totally flat but with a variety of trees and water obstacles (the canals and lakes which provide the irrigation) lining most fairways, La Sella presents some excellent driving situations and fast greens. This is a private club with restricted membership but is friendly to visitors who are allowed to play and use the well-appointed clubhouse. Facilities include driving range, putting green, motorised trolleys, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts. There is also a clubhouse with club bar, a lounge bar and a restaurant. Club de Golf Jávea nestling in the valley between Moraira and Javea is an 18 hole par 72 of 6,641 yards. Although relatively flat, it is more difficult than it looks. This all-year round club has superb views of the El Montgo mountain, and has been attractively planted and landscaped around the greens. It has a driving range, putting green, heated swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, club bar and a restaurant. Advanced booking recommended and proof of handicap is necessary. Having just returned from a weeks stay in Javea at this excellent apartment I can wholeheartedly agree with the previous review. The apartment was spotlessly clean,comfortable and fully equipped with all the facilities which will give your holiday that home from home feel.Though we went during the last week of February we had mostly warm sunny days but even though the evening temperatures dipped quite low the apartments aircon/heating system kept us in the comfort zone during the day and evening.Our 4 year old grandson was accompanying us on the holiday and the childrens play area was a real bonus.He spent every morning whilst we were getting ready to go out and about in Javea in the play area with the children of some charming Spanish families who are residents in the development.We had previously visited Javea on 4 occasions and one of the strong points of this apartment is its location.In the past we have had to drive or endure a long trek to the Arenal beach area,but from this apartment it is a very pleasant 5 minute stroll along the marina canal bank to the beach ,shops and restaurants.We shall definitely be visiting Javea again and we would not hesitate booking this same apartment.
