Our new self-catering apartment is in a lovely villa, high on the slopes of the Montgo mountain in Javea. There is a large double bedroom with french doors on to the private pool and terrace. A very large living room with 2 sofas and a double divan day bed, also UKTV, French & German channels and DVD player. A beautiful new shower room and a brand new fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. The terrace has spectacular views of seven mountain ranges and stunning sunsets. There are plenty of sun loungers and a large table and chairs for alfresco dining under the moon and stars. La Sella championship golf course is nearby as is the 9 hole Javea course. Within 1 hour are around 9 other top courses. Mountain walkers will be in their element as will those who prefer quiet strolls. Tennis courts are nearby and the wonderful beaches of Javea are within 10 to 15 minutes. The historic centre of Javea Old Town is within very easy reach and there is a market every Thursday

We are on the Montgo Mountain on the outskirts of Javea. There are many restaurants within a short drive and we are very near to La Sella Golf Club and Javea Golf Club. There are many other golf clubs in the area. The Jalon Valley with its many charming mountain restaurants and the very popular Saturday Rastro (flea market) is an interesting 20 minute drive away. Javea has an excellent market every Thursday morning and nearby Pedreguer has a huge Rastro every Sunday morning. Denia is 15 minutes away by car and has all the facilities that a big town has to offer. Great shops, markets, a beautiful old castle and ferries to Ibiza and Mallorca. There are two beaches nearby, one at Javea Port where you can swim off the rocks and one at the Arenal where you have a beautiful safe sandy beach. Each beach is in a lovely bay with excellent shopping and restaurants. Javea Old Town (El Pueblo) has a wonderful centre dating back hundreds of years including a fortified church.

Notes: This is a very comfortable, large, modern apartment with direct access to a private pool and terrace. It is very peaceful yet within easy reach of many restaurants. The apartment is ideally suited for a couple or a couple with 2 children. You arrive to a welcome basket and we provide fresh linen and towels (including beach/pool towels). The owners are always either on site to welcome you and to familiarise you with everything or are easily contactable during your stay. We have WiFi in the apartment so please bring your laptop for free internet access.

Golf details: We are 10 minutes from the Olazabal designed La Sella golf club and Marriott hotel complex (including a health spa). 15 minutes from Javea Golf Club and within one hour from the Robert Trent-Jones designed El Bosque Golf Club, the Ballasteros designed Oliva Nova Golf Club and the famous Bonalba course and complex. The weather for golf is perfect for most of the year, although July & August can be very hot in the middle of the day. Buggies are available at all these courses.

Walks: There is a huge range of walks, from strenuous climbs to the top of the Montgo to less demanding walks on the lower slopes. Coastal path walks have wonderful views and sometimes Ibiza, which is 40 miles away, can be seen. The local Javea Tourist Board often organises guided walks of the surrounding area, including the wonderful Old Town. We love walking and can advise you of local paths.

A lovely stay

My husband daughter and I stayed at Villa Ermita in May this year. We had an exquisite time stayig at the apartment which had the best things about self catering accommodation with the advantage of having our hosts nearby so they could give us advice about where to eat and where to go.

The welcome basket of goodies was a fantastic touch. The apartment was clean and the exclusive use of the pool was fantastic, along with the kids pool toys.

Highly recommended.

Relaxing, luxurious holiday

What a fantastic, luxury holiday we had! We felt so spoilt by having our own pool surrounded by beautiful flowers, such great service from the owners, beautiful, clean apartment equipped with absolutely everything we needed, and an amazing view of the Montgo mountaindrop just behind the villa! We certainly got good value for our money!! We loved spending our days exploring the gorgeous beaches around the area, sunbathing by our private pool and visiting Valencia (which is easy to reach by train). There are lots of great restaurants within 10 min drive. We especially loved our Tapas dinner at the sea front at Arendal beach - great atmosphere and brilliant food! Also, we were impressed by the prices and the quality of the fresh food in the Mercadona supermarkets, 2-3 Euros for two tasty entrecôts is not bad!! Lovely seafood as well, the Mediterranean prawns are recommended!! We highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to spoil themselves with a relaxing, luxurious holiday!! Thank you Lynn and Patrick for having us, for all your advice on great places to visit, and your friendly, welcoming hospitality!

Idyllic Apartment on Montgo Mountain

We have just spent 10 days at this apartment and we would highly recommend it. The apartment is spacious, tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you will need. The view from the pool terrace is breathtaking and set in a perfect and very peaceful location.
Lynn and Patrick gave us a very warm and friendly welcome and showed us how to use all the equipment. They were always helpful with any information but also very respectful of our privacy at all times.
The welcome pack was well thought out and extras such as soap, shower gel, dish-washer tabs, washing liquid etc were much appreciated. They even supply beach towels free of charge.
The villa is in a well established residential area of Montgo. It is within a short drive of Javea town, the port and many beautiful beaches. You can do as little or as much as you like. Ideal for walkers and beach lovers alike but we chose to spend most of our time enjoying the pool and the views as the weather was so warm.
We will definitely be going back.

Magic on Montgo

I have a certain reluctance to give a review on this apartment. This is for purely selfish reasons, however I should be realistic. As a family we have been visiting the Javea area for over 20 years renting various villa's and apartments. Kids now grown up, only myself and my wife travel on holiday - and boy have we found a real oasis of an apartment with Lyn and Patrick. Accomodation 1 st class and roomy, can sleep up to 4 people. The place is spotless and you will have sole use of the pool. Quiet area, super views and abt., 10 mins., drive from Javea Port. Lyn and Patrick are very helpful and have a sound knowledge of the area - but they will not intrude upon your holiday.
Plenty of restaurants in the area, a good area for walkers, a number of golf courses are also available. There is also a choice of safe beaches available.

I have no hesitation in recommending this accomodation - but please take care of it, as I will be going back.

Amazing place amazing people

I could not reccomend this apartment, the location and the hosts enough.

We were made so welcome and my partner was blown away by the apartment, it is fantastic, so clean, beautifully decorated and very quiet. It has the most amazing views especially early in the morning and watching the sunset behind the mountains in the distance.

The area of Javea has some wonderful restaurants and we welcomed the advice of the hosts as to the best ones.

There is no doubt we will return ASAP and cannot wait to sit by the pool with a drink and enjoy the views (and company) again.
