Javea:
Javea has the old town, the port area, and the more modern El Arenal beach area that each provide a selection of shops, restaurants and other attractions. A regular local bus service provides a convenient way to travel to each area. There is a long beach of Tosca stone as well as pebble beaches and the sandy bay at Arenal. In the summer the beach bars along the beach and the market stalls at Arenal provide an interesting atmosphere to enjoy on a stroll or just sitting around well into the night. There is a fish market in the port and each Thursday the local market in the old town has an abundance of fresh vegetables and fruit as well as CD's, perfumes, clothes, bags, toys, souvenirs, etc. There are two excellent golf courses near Javea and the town also has its fair share of Fiestas throughout the year that are always an enjoyable occasion.
