The sought after San Esteban complex has been a firm favourite with discerning holidaymakers since 1990. lt is situated within easy reach of the Port and Arenal beaches, supermarkets and bars and is just a 2 minute walk from the sea and the local beach bars. From the balcony there are stunning views of the Montgo, Javea's magnificent mountain and the hills. For those who wish to dine al-fresco the large terrace is superb. The nearby modern supermarket has excellent fresh produce. The accommodation comprises 3 double bedrooms (one double and two twin-bedded rooms), 2 bathrooms, lovely modern fitted kitchen, large lounge/diner and entrance hall. It is furnished to a high specification and will sleep 6. There is a television showing English TV programmes and a video. An iron and ironing board are supplied. In the lounge there is an air conditioning unit. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning units. Gas central heating is also fitted.

The apartment is located in Avenida de Augusta which is set back from the pebbly beach which links the Port of Javea with the Arenal beach area. The area is flat and you can easily walk to local shops and amenities. The new Mercadona supermarket is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. In the summer there are beach bars open nearby, the main ones of La Siesta and Montgo de Bongo being a two or three minute walk.

Golf: The apartment is 5 minutes drive from Javea golf course and 10 minutes drive from La Sella golf course. If you are intending to play golf in the area you should bring your handicap certificate with you. Many people use Javea as a base for golfing holidays as it is also an easy drive to the golf courses of Oliva Nova, San Jaime (Moraira) and Don Cayo (Benidorm).

“What more could you want”

What a superbly equipped apartment, very spacious and considering there were 6 of us plus a child it never felt overcrowded.
Everything and more that you would want is included and on the only ocassion an implement failed there was a replacement there the following morning obligingly delivered by Bob, always helpful.
The complex is very well maintained and the grounds are private and offer sun or shade as you wish
Superb balcony spaces, front and back, ideal for nightcaps or al fresco dining - all in all spot on
The location is excellent being only 5 mins to the beach bars and 15 mins eiher to Arenel, the sandy beach with all its restauarants, or the more relaxed port area, again with a superb range of eating houses. Supermarket approx 100metres away with a bodega across the avenue.
We have been coming to Javea for over 20 years and this is one of the best apartments and locations you could wish for - close to all facilities but still tranquility abounds

“A home from home - but with beautiful sunshine”

This apartment is simply fantastic. It's bright, it's big, it's fully air conditioned (and at the height of the 2008 heatwave we really needed it!), it's perfectly positioned....I could go on. The apartment is on a pleasant complex beside a quiet road running parallel to the coastline. I say quiet, and believe me it IS quiet. There is a Mercadona across the road (which I would rate as equivalent to Sainsbury's among the Spanish supermarkets) and the port, which is the nicest part of Javea, is just 15 pleasant minute's walk away. The pool area is grassed. It's well kept and occupies a position right at the heart of the complex, which seems to comprise of two and three-bed apartments which are either owner-occupied or holiday rentals. We had several lovely meals on the balcony, which has a great view of Mount Montgo. The (separate) kitchen is fully equipped and seemed quite new at the time. Car parking is either in the street or in the underground garage. I would recommend a car, if only so you can visit the beaches at Denia and Moraira nearby. The three bedrooms are all doubles, one with twins beds, all with a/c. One is en-suite and there is another large bathroom with a shower as well. The furniture at 2D6 is more functional than stylish. The TV seemed a bit on its last legs in 2008 - maybe it's been changed now. There are rather a lot of silk flowers!!! But hey, let's not quibble. This is a superb apartment - one we really didn't want to leave when the time came. We have looked every year and the price of ?650 that we paid doesn't seem to have changed. The managers, Bob and Gaye Martin, are delightful, friendly and helpful and try very hard to make sure everything is working and clean. Javea itself is very pretty - a town of old, cobbled streets and whitewashed property, with a very pleasant and chic port area, full of smart bars and restaurants. You hear relatively few English voices. The waterfront at the port is all shingle, but about a mile away is the Arenal - the beach area. This is a little more downmarket and busier but still quite Spanish and not at all like Benidorm. There are several very nice restaurants on the port-front, and just outside Javea is Masena, a very classy place which will set you back a fair bit but - believe me - it's worth every cent. Excellent, food, wine and service. So, I would say to ANYONE thinking of holidaying in Javea....YES, go there and book this place as your holiday apartment.

Definitely worth a closer look!

We have stayed twice in this apartment and are planning to return next year – partly because the port of Javea is such a great place for a family holiday, and partly because of the apartment itself. The photos don’t really do it justice – it is much more spacious than it appears, and the balcony is just great for meals and for unwinding! We agree with all the comments in other reviews above. The large shared pool is a great place to relax – not too busy, not too quiet. Everything is so well appointed, and the mid bay location is well placed for a short walk to the contrasting experiences at either end of the bay - the ancient and interesting port and town of Javea, with its traditional restaurants and shops on one hand, and the sandier seaside resort of the Arenal on the other, complete with pedalos and surf boards. Different members of the family have their preferences! Eating on the front is more expensive but there are many good restaurants where you can get the table d’hôte 3 course menu for about 10 euros including wine. And has been mentioned the nearby supermarket is very good and makes eating in a definite alternative. Bob and Gaye manage the apartment and they really could not be more helpful or friendly. We have tried many apartments and locations around the med but I would say this is probably the best. Phil and Ranee

Brilliant apartment.

We had a wonderful holiday in this apartment. Bob Martin met us on arrival and took us a tour of the apartment to explain the layout and where everything was. This was very helpful. This was a very well equipped and well furnished apartment. Location was about a ten minute walk to the Port area but a longer walk to Arenal beach. We preferred the Port so the location was ideal for us. There is a well stocked supermarket across the road so getting supplies was no problem. We have hired many private apartments and this is the best we have been to. Bob and Gaye collected our towels and sheets and replaced them midway during the holiday. This is the first time, I didn't need to wash sheets and towels during a holiday.
I would recommend this apartment without hesitation. We will go back.
