The lovely ground floor apartment has a large comfortable lounge/dining room, and a new fully fitted modern kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin, both ensuite with new walk in shower/toilet rooms. The lounge opens onto a private patio area, complete with patio dining table and chairs, for al fresco dining There are also further sun loungers and chairs.

El Portet

El Portet is a very attractive small cove with a safe sandy beach, backed by a couple of bars and restaurants, the views along the coast are wonderful, and as there is no road passing through, there is very little traffic to disturb the peaceful atmosphere. There is also a small supermarket/general store for immediate necessities, which is open all year.

Moraira

The town is 15 minutes walk from El Portet and has a full range of shops and a good selection of restaurants and cafe's etc. Many of the shopkeepers speak English, so shopping is easy. There are a number of banks, and market day is Friday. Moraira has a large marina and another safe sandy beach.

The area

The apartment is about an hours drive north from Alicante airport, It is possible but expensive to take a taxi, but car hire is relatively cheap and can be arranged on your behalf and the car collected at the airport. Along the coast are a number of attractive resorts and bays, Calpe and Javea are the most notable. Inland there are some spectacular mountain roads and the beautiful Jalon Valley, which has a number of excellant restaurants for a leasurely lunch. The bright lights of Benidorm are about 30 minutes drive away. Along the coast there is a splendid narrow gauge railway, which runs from Alicante to Denia, the nearest station is in Teulada about 6 kilometres away.
