VILLAMARTIN:
Villamartin is a lovely area with flowers, shrubs, and palm trees and is an area ideal for families, couples and golf lovers.The Villamartin Plaza is a beautifully tiled galleried square with tables to sit outside under the palm tress which are home to colourful tropical birds. There is a good mix of bars and restaurants including French, Indian and Italian offering fine dining for all. There is a well stocked supermarket, pharmacy, health centre, bank, hairdressers, bowling alley and disco. For the sports fanatic there are also Sports Bars. Just next to the Plaza is the Villamartin Golf Club, tennis courts and clubhouse. A short walk further is the shopping centre of 'Los Dolses' offering more restaurants, takeaways, bars, opticians, small shops and another supermarket. For those who prefer to visit the area by horse there are horse riding stables not far from the apartment, and for those who prefer two wheels bike hire can be arranged.Near to La Zenia there are Go-Karts to try.
TORREVIEJA:
The town of Torrevieja is just a fifteen minute drive away. It is coastal town with many stylish street cafes, restaurants and bars as well as a lively street market on Fridays where you can buy anything from shoes to food! There is also a nightly market along the sea front.Fiestas and festivals take place here through out the year but mainly at Easter and in the summer. There are markets in the different towns near to Villamartin almost every day of the week. Torrevieja has beautiful long beaches, parks, gardens and a marina .There are excellent water sport facilities,including scuba diving ,and boat trips here. In Torrevieja is the famous theme park of 'Terra Mitica' and the popular water park 'Aquopolis'.Both great days out. If you fancy a visit to Benidorm it is only an hours drive away. There are many 'Blue Flag' beaches near the apartment, the nearest being La Zenia. More water sports, and mud baths, can be found at Mar Menor.Cabo Roig is another lovely nearby place to visit.
GOLF COURSES:
There are three golf courses near the apartment. The famous Villamartin Golf Club is a 10 minute walk away, this is a prestigious championship course where buggy and golf club hire are available. It has a swimming pool and superb club house for you to relax in. The club house and restaurant are open to non-golf players too. The Royal Golf Club is in nearby Campoamor and Las Ramblas is situated on the slopes of Blue Hills. There is a shop at the Villamartin Golf Club where you can buy golfing equipment and clothing.
