Sandy Beaches:
This stretch of the Costa Blanca boasts many blue flag, white, sandy beaches. There are also 'secluded' coves if you prefer a quieter sunbathing experience. There are climbing frames for the children at La Zenia and Campoamor beaches, and they all have beach bars and some cafes and restaurants close by when you fancy an ice-cream, a small beer or some Spanish tapas.
Restaurants & Bars.:
This area has too many restaurants and bars to mention but we aim to please and our apartment has a book with our recommendations and dummy proof directions! You can choose from Spanish tapas & paella bars (of course), then there are British, vegetarian, Chinese, Indian and Thai restaurants plus snack bars for sandwiches, fish & chips, omelette's - well you can get just about anything you fancy! Even a kebab bar - open 'til 6 or 7am! There are bars to suit all walks of life, from quiet pubs to party pubs open 'til 7am. You will even find Pacha nightclub in Torrevieja too! Los Dolses Commercial Centre is your closest venue (5 min walk) for a good choice and bars, restaurants & shops, but then the choice is vast should you take a short drive/taxi - the lively Cabo Roig is a 5 minute drive, and Torrevieja is only a 10-15 minute drive. So much to do - so little time for your holiday we think you'll find!! But we believe you'll have a good time finding out!
Championship Golf Courses.:
Villamartin is probably the most famous of the three courses for hosting the Prestigious Mediterranean Open in 1994. The par 3 17th has been described as the most difficult in Spain. Our villa is 5-10 minute walk depending on whether you walk English or Spanish pace! Top class facilities make this a challenging course for players of all abilities. A superb Clubhouse ensures a relaxing setting for refreshments after a round of golf. Campoamor was designed by Carmelo Gracias Caselles with an extensive clubhouse, three restaurants and excellent pro shop. The course is covered in lush grass and is surrounded by beautiful pine woods and orange trees and overlooks the sea. The front nine holes are fairly open but the back nine holes are a totally different proposition; so beware!! Fast greens and steep sided hills provide very enjoyable golf.
