BARGAIN!!! SEP/OCT Only € 220 a week Late summer sun. Casa Jessica is a simple attractive villa in traditional pueblo style near sea and sandy beaches on a quiet cul de sac set among pines and bougainvillea. 100 meters to large swimming pool-with protected shallow area for small children-and all-weather tennis court. Shops, restaurants, bars: five minutes walk. Breakfast looking down to the Mediterranean with sun for the rest of the day in the front garden or on the dining terrace. The two bedrooms look down over red roofs to the sea: with good built-in wardrobes, one has a double bed and one two singles. The spacious sitting room has high wooden beams under the lofty ceiling. It is comfortably furnished and has TV and video. The well-equipped American kitchen has a gas cooker and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave/grill and coffee-machine and a washing machine. There are good indoor and outdoor dining facilities. The bathroom has a full bath and shower. Perfect for a family holiday

Moraira is the jewel in the crown of the Costa Blanca, the coast that stretches from Valencia to Alicante on the Mediterranean coast. Alicante and Valencia airports are about one hour's drive. (SEE BELOW HOW TO BOOK) Blissfully free of high-rise blocks, Moraira is a small but lively resort based on a traditional fishing village with its own marina, fishing port and with many good restaurants and bars. The colourful Friday market is always worth a visit. In the summer, local artists and artisans sell their handicraft from stalls around the town's central square. A great place to wine, dine and stroll.. Villa Casa Jessica is set in a pretty community with landscaped gardens. Our villa is at the end of a row of 8 pueblo-style houses with no through-traffic with views through the pines down to the blue Mediterranean. Walk five minutes along roads lined with bougainvillea and oleander to shops, bars, cafés and restaurants: 12 minutes takes you to the sea and cliffs of Cap Blanc.

  • **These rates are net rental rates and the rent is payable in advance. We will send you detailed information on arrival procedures - normally you will be met at the house by our local manager whom you should contact by phone one hour before your estimated arrival and again when you are in Moraira five minutes from Casa Jessica. We have broken down our charges for the sake of transparency so you can exactly what you are paying for.
    A house clean before and after your stay (65 Euros) is payable locally. You are welcome to bring your own sheets and towels. For this, there is no charge. We can supply a laundry service at your request which costs 13 Euros per head per change of sheets and towels - also payable locally on arrival. We also ask for 5 Euros per day (8 Euros in winter) to cover the cost of heating, water, gas and electricity charges. Again you only pay this after your arrival.
  • **In the summer months, bookings are generally Saturday to Saturday, but we will take mid-week bookings where possible. We will be as flexible as possible to meet your travel plans, especially out of season or if you are booking at short notice. You are welcome to ask and we will do our best to help where we can.
  • ** Reservation procedures:We ask for a 300 euro down payment to secure your booking. The balance of your house rent is payable one calendar month before your arrival in Casa Jessica. On arrival, you may be asked for a deposit against accidental damage refundable on your departure. ** Well behaved pets (with well-behaved owners) are welcomed. See above for local charges under the section 'notes to rental rates'.

Notes: From a dining porch, you enter a spacious living room with a dining area by the window to your left (tiled dining table and comfortable dining chairs (next to the well-equipped American kitchen. This leads to the sitting area - two deep blue sofas by the open fireplace - and a TV and video. Exposed wooden beams support the high, sloping ceilings to give a wonderful sense of space. To your left is the bathroom. Behind the living space are the two bedrooms with a sea view, one with a terrace which is perfect for breakfast in the morning sun. The lockable front gates give complete safety for young children. There is no through traffic anyway on the little lanes, filled with colourful, Mediterranean blooms that take you down the shared pool 100 meters away. Again, perfect for small children with a separate, shallow toddlers pool. A tennis court is freely available. Just bring your own rackets and balls.

Things to do - when you're too lazy to laze : You can just read in the sun with a good book from our bookshelves in Casa Jessica. Or: enjoy golf, tennis, football, squash, all water sports, boat hire and trips, horse-riding and even go kart racing, though not in sound range of Casa Jessica. Children will love Terra Mitica (Spain’s answer to Disneyland) and Aqualandia Water Park 45 minutes away. If you play tennis, bring a racket and tennis balls. There is a free hard-court for your use next to the swimming pool two minutes from your door.

A short drive - wonderful scenery - old villages: A 10 minute drive over the hills behind Moraira with amazing views down to the coast takes you into the Spanish interior with its Roman terracing, olive and almond trees, vineyards and orange groves. Take a trip over the Cumbre del Sol (15 minutes away) for spectacular wild country and coastal views and visit Altea (30 mins), a superb hilltop town with its lovely blue-domed church and central square for some very tasteful local artisan handicrafts. A one-hour drive takes you up to the magnificent mountain-top fort at Guadalest, to the Vergal Safari Park near Denia or to Europe's largest palm forest at Elche.

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette belle et magnifique villa. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour, l'habitation est parfaite pour 4 personnes et vous passerez des vacances d'une tranquilité inespérée. La piscine est superbe et très propre. Vous vivriez au rythme de vos envies, en extérieur, grâce à la "loggia" où il fait bon lire, manger ou tout simplement farnienté...
Les contacts avec les propriétaires ont été, pour notre part par voie de mail mais très sérieux et chaleureux. Nous avons appréciés leurs petits conseils d'habitués des lieux.
Aussi, ils confient l'accueil des locataires à un couple "concierge" tout aussi sympathique.
En ce qui concerne les alentours, MORAIRA est une jolie station balnéaire qui semble être familiale. Début Juin, il y a pas énormément de tourisme. Sur place, vous pouvez faire vos courses et tous vos achats divers et variés. Les paysages sont proches de la côte méditerranéenne Française, celle du Var.
