A very large private house possibly the largest private house in Elche. Near to beaches of Guardamar and Los Arenales, the Airport and city of Alicante and Elche yet set in a tranquil setting with the sound of the birds only in the mornings. Well protected form the sun and cool inside in the summer months.Big chalet roof and this year NEW SOLAR PANELS for constant hot water.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YPHCbnp42U is a video tour of the house, also you are welcome to come and look before your booking. there is also a website of the house and can send you the link.
Very secure with no problems encountered in many years . Plenty of parking and you will receive 3 fobs for the Automatic gates and keys to the house to come and go as you please.
The fiestas here and there are many are something to be seen especially the fiestas in Elche in August, the Hogueras of Alicante in June , Semana Santa at Easter and Morros and Cristianos in all the towns during the year in the summer.
Now in May there is Sevillanas festival in Torrevieja v good in the port. I've been to the one in Sevilla but probably enjoyed this as much. About 30 mins drive.
There is an exercise bench which I use when there and quickly gets the stomach flat! also pull up bar in garden.
Not Luxury: Before we go further. the house is not the height of luxury neither is it luxury prices say 60-70 euros a night ie in nearby hotels. Its a basic large house and most bedrooms not ensuite as hotels. NO AIRCONDITIONING, Not really needed and cables wouldnt support it in the road! sometimes there can be mosquitos and its very hot in August!
WIFI fitted.
It is about 14€ p person, 3 bedrooms are ensuites the rest have shared bathrooms. Hostal prices but much more spacious than most.
In the summer its hot! we are almost in sight of Africa. i like the heat i find its healthier here than the uk where it can be very damp and cold in winter.
Like many hot countries in europe there are some mosquitos although we spray around the house against them. they dont bother me and many other people but can bother children and recommend a plugged in liquid machine or repellant on the the skin and let the fan at night run on low.
if you come in July August its the hotest part of the year! why not visit in April or Novemeber? I know the childrens school holidys!
Skiing can be found about 3 hours drive away near the City of Granada famous for The Alambra in the resort of Sierra Nevada.
Also in the Pireneos in the North about 8 hours drive.
I have been to both places. Ryan air flights can be as little as £50 from UK
Golf can be found at many courses in the area there are so many there is a problem with the water.
Sailing can be found in Guardamar about 30 minutes away and trips can be arranged in Sailing or motor boats to the Island of Tabarca or the coastline.

On Holiday to celebrate a Ruby Wedding Anniversary (18 in party)
Huge house that is child friendly, yet has all the facilities that are required for a wonderful stress free holiday in the sun.
The porch is large enough to accommodate 18+ people although we have had a 100 to eat on it on a long table, it also and provides welcome shade during the day.
The pool is fantastic with all the children in the party preferring it to the beach!
Bedrooms are large and adequately equipped. Great BBQ
The owner Sam is welcoming and friendly, nothing seems to much trouble.
The restaurant nearby about 5 mins by car they do
Fabulous holiday with enough space, sun and fun for all

A great villa, providing plenty of space for our group of 18 people. The house is huge, with a verrandah running along the whole front of the property, with lots of tables and chairs, giving a view over the swimming pool, tennis court and gardens. The swimming pool was an excellent size and accomodated all the water games etc. with plenty of sunbeds around the perimeter. The pool was well used and provided a welcome cool down form the midday sun! It was lovely to have the facility for everyone to enjoy the pool, and not be crowding each other at all. Cooking proved easier than we imagined, due perhaps to the brilliant built in barbeque on the verrandah and plenty of fridges to store food and of course beers and wine to help us along the way!
The area is lovely and old Elche town proved very interesting to those who explored it (it was also a carnival celebration week). We went to the beach one day but honestly we were just happy to enjoy each others company at the villa. Sam, the owner is a great guy and is always available if you need anything. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place, we all had a superb time, and we may well be back!!!

La Carrasca, ElcheVisit date 22nd July 2007 – 5th August 2007 (14 nights)Number in Party 17 (9 adults, 8 children ages 15,14,13,11,10,4,3,3) We arrived at dusk on a Sunday night and I think everybody in the party were a little concerned as to how remote we seemed to be. We were wrong. The villa is in a peaceful countryside location but you can be within the hustle and bustle of Elche in a few minutes.Once everyone had had a look around Sam sat with us on the porch whilst we had a drink and he went through some general housekeeping and advised us of the nearest supermarkets, beaches, hospital etc
.The next morning we found the supermarket easily from Sam’s directions and we were relieved that we weren’t as far from civilisation as it appeared the previous night. Once we got our bearings and familiar with the roads we realised the villa is ideally situated.Whilst there we visited Alicante, Guardamar, Santa Pola, and Aqua Park Ciudad Quesada in Rojales. All were easy to find and only a short drive from the Villa. The best beach was Guardamar although the sea was a bit rough for the younger children. We had a couple of days in the old part of Elche on the east of the river; there were plenty of shops, bars and café’s.The villa itself is lovely. We found it exceeded our expectations and was more than big enough; one of the bedrooms wasn’t used. We only ate out twice, as cooking didn’t seem a chore, there were plenty of olive logs in the grounds which make ideal BBQ fuel. The kitchen is adequately equipped and on the nights we didn’t BBQ cooking for 17 wasn’t a problem as there is plenty of equipment. All the bedrooms were spacious and well equipped with adequate wardrobe space, fan, anti-mosquito machines and some had televisions. The bathrooms are large, clean and have new toilets, bidets and showers, 2 of the bathrooms have baths as well. The lounge and dining area is huge, although we ate and spent evenings on the porch the older children used to sit inside and watch DVD’s or listening to music. The swimming pool area was clean and the pool itself is plenty big enough, there were 17 of us and it never seemed full. The tennis court was also well used. Sam came every few days to clean the pool and check we were ok. The villa is located in the countryside and there are some nice walks to be found from the villa, there was even a mountain bike that we could use. We did walk to L’aljub shopping centre twice and it took about 45 – 50 minutes.
Friend annual holiday who all go together
