Notes to the rental rates

• £100 is payable at time of booking as security deposit, (returnable as soon as apartment is checked) plus 25% of rental. If extra-ordinary cleaning is required, cost will be deducted from deposit. Full rental is payable 4 weeks in advance.
  
• Welcome food pack can be made available on arrival if desired, for an additional £25. This contains: tea, coffee, milk, sugar, orange juice, water, bread, butter, jam, ham, cheese, toilet roll, 6 cans of beer, 6 cans of cola, a bottle of red and bottle of white wine.
  
• In the event of cancellation, the following penalties will be charged:
  21 days prior or less: full rental.
  22 to 42 days prior: 50% of rental.
  43 to 56 days prior: 25% of rental.

Beaches

There are numerous beautiful beaches along the coast, all well maintained, with golden sand and clear water. The nearest to Las Ramblas is La Glea, which is well furnished with a cafe, foot showers, children's climbing frame, and shady areas. The Mar Menor is just 15km away, with its clear, warm and shallow water, ideal for small children.

Jazz!

The San Javier Jazz Festival takes place in July each year. Soul giant Isaac Hayes performed in the XI edition of the San Javier International Jazz Festival 2008, which included pianist Herbie Hancock, legendary blues rock guitarist Johnny Winter and the great Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. There were other blues greats like Keb’ Mo’ and Robert Cray included in the programme, which as usual invited young artists like American singer Sara Lazarus. San Javier is about 15 minutes by car from Las Ramblas. See further details at:

Meteors!

In mid-August every year there's a great spectacle of shooting stars, the Perseid meteor shower. You'll have a great view from the roof terrace, if it's a clear night. The meteors will be easiest to see when the Moon has set after midnight and the sky is dark. You don't even need a telescope, Just lie back on the deckchairs and enjoy the show. Check for the exact dates which may vary slightly each year.

Golf Information:

The golf course at Las Ramblas is short but beautifully landscaped and quite challenging. Close by are two other courses, Campoamor and Villamartin. All have 18 holes, with putting and chipping greens and practice areas. There are several other courses slightly further away, including the famous La Manga resort about 30 minutes' drive from Las Ramblas.
