Villamartin and the surrounding area:
Villamartin Plaza is just 10 minutes walk, and just a few minutes by car. It has all the facilities which cater for a great holiday. The Andalucian style complex has a Bank, a small supermarket, a newsagent, a chemist, shops, bars & many restaurants to choose from which offer a wide selection of International cuisine catering for everyone's tastes. Also locally again just a few minutes by car but within walking distance, there is another commercial centre- Los Dolses which provides further choices of different restaurants, banks, bars & shops. There is also a bigger Super value-supermarket. For those hiring cars although not a necessity, there are also other bigger supermarkets nearby- Consum at La Zenia, Mercadona Nr Las Ramblas and also at Playa Flamenca. The main coast road the N332 also has many stores, shops and more bars and restaurants to choose from. Torrevieja also has many shops & stores & is easily accessible by local buses.

We have many contacts with reliable, efficient companies in the area so we can arrange Airport transfers to and from both Alicante and Murcia Airports for those that prefer to not hire cars. Car hire with or without meet and great services can also be arranged to help you easily get to Casa Bienvenido. For golfers we can pre- book tee times and buggy hire at all the local courses. We have a comprehensive guide/folder for guests staying in the house to also help make your holiday a good one.

Things to do:
Apart from the Communal Swimming Pool where one can stay, relax and soak up the marvellous Costa Blanca Sun, and the Championship Golf courses (see below), there are many other things you can choose to do whilst on Holiday. The EEC Blue flag beaches are just a small ride away for those who like the sea where all the normal water sports are available.The region traditionally has street markets everyday all within easy reach by car/taxi and it is well worth visiting one of them before you leave. There is a nice Waterpark in Rojales and also Torrevieja-Aquopolis with all the usual attractions and an even bigger one in Benidorm -Aqualandia.
North of Alicante there is the Theme Park Terra Mitica. Pola park in Santa Pola between Torrevieja and Alicante also offers lots of things to do with rides, boating lake,tropical garden and other attractions.

Golf:
The area is a Golfers dream with Villamartin Golf Club situated by the Plaza just a walk away. The Par 72 6668 yard course is the oldest & best known in the area. It held the Mediterranean Open in 1994 & is a challenge for all golfers. Within 5-10 minutes there is also the Par 72 6498 yard Las Ramblas and Par 72 6597 yards Campoamor courses. Las Ramblas also owned by the Villamartin group is very scenic, spectacular and memorable course featuring high trees, narrow fairways and ravines. It is a must play course. Campoamor is a big hitters dream and more forgiving, having more opportunity to let those oversize drivers let rip. La Finca is the recent addition of local courses and is a lovely course again Par 72, it is 6549 Yards. Also owned by the Villamartin Group, it has been built to host championships and is deemed to be one of the top courses in the region. It is only 20 minutes from Villamartin. It is the most expensive for green fees of the local courses. The renowned and famous 'La Manga' which has 3 courses is within easy reach & not too far by car for those wanting to treat themselves - Green Fees are quite expensive! The region is constantly improving it's Golf coverage and there are now plenty of other courses within easy reach by car to suit all levels of golfers with reasonable green fees. There are many web sites now available with details of Golf in the area.
